Yeah, RIP.

Another Whitmore eurocult role was as a reluctant posse member in CHATO'S LAND (which was eurocult inasmuch as it was shot in Almeria).

I wonder if he did HIGH CRIME and CHATO'S LAND all on the same European stay...

R.I.P. indeed.

Watching High Crime recently, I see how pivotal he was to Franco's performance.  Whitmore was pretty much stepping back to let Nero unleash one of his best performances ever.  He was great as Commissario Scavino.

And as the President of the Assembly in the original Planet of the Apes. He was marvelous there too, a great foil for Maurice Evans.

Absolutely - he's the perfect balance, cautious and by the book where Belli is explosive. Must give High Crime another watch soon...

Really liked his turn as the sweaty psycho in THE SPLIT with Jim Brown. A great actor who will be missed.
