I suppose but I can't remember the last time I ordered something voer the customs threshold from outside the EU - I avoid it lie the plague!

Now going Blu with Jess Franco double bills.  They have one forthcoming for late 2016 and another double bill in the pipeline.  New scans, English subs, probably no extras.

They seem to be trying to up their game after years of just putting out old tape masters.
They have a podcast, now 3 eps. deep and their FB has lots of info about their plans.
How much of this pans out remains to be seen, but worth keeping an eye on.

I was looking at that the other day, $46 all on, quite expensive with the current exchange rate.

So a booklet and number makes it Ultimate, as opposed to merely Collector's. I'd like one but yeah, $46 is a lot for it right now.

Their Franco double bill looked about the same as the Divisa DVD'd picture wise.

I'm trying to figure out the theory on this one. So the only extra thing about preordering is a BD/DVD combo.. except it's only half a DVD combo as it's only one film on DVD... unless there are 500 preorders in which case they'll also add in the other on DVD..

This lot are weird. Okay I get that you receive it 3 months before street date but the rest is just a bit bizarre as an attempted selling point.

Anyway, I think I'll wait till I can maybe get it a little cheaper later and miss out on the DVD/DVD's.

I anticipate a major crash and burn from these guys.

We'll see how the next couple of release look, but they seem to have a feeble handle on what they are doing.

I lost any confidence in these guys back when they released the 077 Ken Clark Eurospy films improperly flagged to play in the proper aspect ratio unless you changed your DVD player settings. Their hearts appear to be in the right place, but I wouldn't buy anything without reading a good review first.

As they continue to make it up as they go along, some quotes from their Facebook page..

I have been asked to press the DVD of a third title instead of the DVD of Special Cop in Action since it will already be on the Bluray, so perhaps we will do The Councillor on the DVD and replace the SCIA plan for a pressed DVD , it will ultimately be the decision of you presale buyers via a private email vote....

We would very much like to put out more Eurocrime including the Councilor on Bluray, unfortunately the selling power of each release is always the final deciding factor. We will not put out the Councillor on a BR in 2017 unless true demand called for it. Currently, our EC Vol. 1 is not doing enough to warrant immediate consideration for EC Vol. 2. Hopefully the street sales will be much stronger and we can then turn back to you the fans to choose Vol. 2 titles. We will see.

They sound surprised?

Also, the Larraz set will be available next week it seems.

When they mention replacing the SCIA plan for a "pressed" DVD are they saying the DVD in the blu-Ray set will be a DVD-R?

Sounds like it could be doesn't it. The way it's going it could well end up  a box of 10 floppy discs.

Could they have just been bunging the already existing DVD-R of it in there?
