Any info on what might be on the 2nd disc? I've already got INFERNO on the old Anchor Bay DVD but might be persuaded to upgrade...
-
Camera Obscura will produce exclusive bonus footage (also with Dario Argento himself)

Still haven't got a copy of TERROR EXPRESS :o
I just posted on my blog about the hurdles I've had to jump just to try to get this one...should've pre-ordered it from D&T in the beginning...but that steep price tag + shipping to the U.S. (over $50+) was just a bit absurd for a new DVD.
-
Have you ever given kultvideo.org a try? I've never had a problem with them.
-
:) yes, he has

Same here, sent Mario my payment in cash and had the dvd within a week.

Just checking. My mind reading abilities are quite poor at the moment.

Great News! Camera Obscura are planning to release AL TROPICO DEL CANCRO by Edoardo Mulargia (under its German title INFERNO UNTER HEISSER SONNE) incl. English subs.
I've seen the bootleg and would really like to see the movie in its full glory in a decent transfer.
Love that dream sequence ....
LP are Anita Strindberg, Anthony Steffen, Gabriele Tinti, Umberto Raho.
-
argh shit! I've just realized that there already was a thread about this release ... :o SORRY!!!!
but anyway, there was no mention of this in the company release archive, so at least now that's done.
-
Along with our 2-DVD set of INFERNO we will also release a 1 Blu-ray and 1 DVD (for the extras, as there will be many) set!
The disc will also feature German, Italian and English language tracks along with German and English subtitles.

Easily the best label out there at the moment!
Couldn't agree more!
I hope they do some Italian Crime!! Some titles that haven't seen the light of day in English speaking world.

Either would be good.

lol...well i was thinking of the Mark series by Massi, or some of the rarer Milian titles.
Also there's Nick the Sting with Merenda.
;D

Some English friendly Lenzi's that haven't been released at all or with any English options (Sub or Dub)

yes please!!

definately the best label out there at the moment, every release looks a must have.
love the wild beasts artwork, its ver cool ;)
-
Thank you so much for all your nice comments! That's what really gets us going, and reassures us that we're probably doing the right thing!
As for Italian crime: We're definitely on it, it just takes some time.
-
We have a little problem with three dialogue scenes in the English language track of INFERNO which we just can't understand because what's being said is just way too unintelligible. These scenes are the three sequences where two characters whisper about what they are up to. I can't even tell if you're actually supposed to understand what's being said or not. It's not quite clear. But we'd sure like to subtitle these spots in German -- as we did for the entire Italian language track.
Maybe one of you connoisseurs of the English track knows what they're whispering. If so, please let us know.
-
Can you give timings for where this happens?
-
Many thanks for your amazing releases!
Any plans on Cavallone? I'd love to see Blue movie and Blow job on DVD.
-
@ kevin: in the PAL version, the time codes are these:
00:15:37:00
00:27:16:00
00:39:38:00
@ mnik: we'd love to release them, but the master situation is not really a joyful one.

If nobody else does it in the meantime then I'll check it tonight after I finish work.
-
The more peope who check the better. I really need to know if it is at all audible for a native speaker or if there is just no way. Someone might hear more than someone else does.
-
I'm working off an NTSC copy so if I've got the timing wrong let me know.
00:15:37:00
Female voice "She's been nosing round"
Male voice "?? everything right away"
Female voice "Yes, we'd better get it all out of sight"
Male voice " Be careful, though. He doesn't want anything changed"
Female voice unintelligible
The second section is a bit tricky - lots of overlapping voices - will do a bit more work on it and follow it up with the final section tomorrow.
-
I've processed the audio signal - reduced the noise, removed the low frequency hum, etc... - and here is what I found:
SEQUENCE A - near the elevator:
Voice 1: "She's been nosing around..."
Voice 2: "Then let's hide everything right away" (not sure about the "let's")
Voice 1: "Yes, we'd better get it all out of sight"
Voice 2: "Be careful though. He doesn't want anything changed"
SEQUENCE B - in the library:
These are random words/whispers. I don't think you should translate it. It's supposed to be unintelligible.
What I could hear: "... no, really? Where?... it's at the back ... I think it's a ner...sophy... by the way... are you going to listen... find the knight... it's about the relationship between Zen Buddhism..."
SEQUENCE C -in the apartment:
Again random stuff... The first part is in reverse. In the end we hear "...just be careful though".
-
That's pretty much what I could make out. So you think the rest is just not important in termos of subtitles, and just not possible to understand?
-
That's pretty much what I could make out. So you think the rest is just not important in termos of subtitles, and just not possible to understand?
Yes. These are mysterious voices, cryptic dialogs. They have no meaning at all, it's just a sound effect to create an atmosphere and build tension. By adding subtitles you will destroy the effect.
The only sequence you should translate is the first one, near the elevator. It's loud and clear enough to be understandable.
Good luck!

Pretty much what I think. It's the only one of the three sequences that makes any sense at all after checking out the other two a couple of times.
-
Okay then. So we're pretty safe if we only subtitle that first sequence!
-
I'd say so. The other two are just non-sequiturs.

Is there a complete list of Camera Obscura's releases? Also, any recommendations for where to purchase them?

• Featurette „L’Inferno delle Tre Madri” (23 min) featuring Dario Argento, producer Claudio Argento as well as the actors Eleonora Giorgi and Leopoldo Mastelloni
• Featurette „Critics on Fire” (20 min) featuring the film critics Antonio Bruschini and Antonio Tentori

Terer's not much you WON'T hear about INFERNO in these featurettes. „Of Darkness and Fire” alone is so full of information that your brains will be fried. Fabio Traversari really is the man.

Wicked.im still going to hold out for this release over the arrow one :)

VIRGIN OF THE SEVEN SEAS (http://10kbullets.com/reviews/k/karate-kusse-blonde-katzen-virgins-of-the-seven-seas/)

I'm sticking to my Arrow, no point double dipping me thinks.
-
I'm sticking to my Arrow, no point double dipping me thinks.
Well, seeing as we were forewarned of these multiple releases it wasn't that hard for me to not dip in the first place and wait it out until all the cards are on the table.
-
Price is still a critical factor though. The Arrow releases are fairly cheap if bought from Amazon on Play. If you inport the US or German discs you're looking at a bit of a price hike.
-
Totally Paul.
I absolutely love the Arrow Video Blu Rays (cheap, nice looking, chock-o-block with goodies, great transfers), and unless there is a critical factor to change to the other releases, I'll stick to the Arrow. Don't forget there is the FNAC release too for about 20€.
BU are great, always have been, just they seem bland compared to Arrow Video these days to me. CO are awesome too (no doubt about it! Their Martino Giallo DVD is a critical release IMO), however they are expensive.
I also like how Arrow is totally 100% UK.

Aren't the FNAC releases presented with forced subs?

Still waiting for some pretty great extras for the discs!
-
Well, extras for LA ORCA are finished, and we are very happy to say that we actually got an interview with actress Rena Niehaus by film historian Christian Keßler. It will be played over the movie like a non-scene-specific audio commentary as it's actually feature-length. German with English subtitles.
TROPICO extras still work in progress.

Have Camera Obscura done a deal with other companies?
I noticed there is one of them hardboxes with as usual a load of different covers for The Bod Squad.
-
BOB SQUAD was a CO/Koch Media co-production. Koch owns the rights, we took care of everything else (authoring, subtitles, packaging, bonus etc.)
Since our edition is sold out for some time now, Koch decided to release a couple of hardboxes with NSM Records.

Great!! still have to buy the last CO dvd! What will be the next titles btw ?? :-\
-
Camera Obscura DVDs are great but I don't like the "Digipak" packaging design id rather have an amaray.I only just got Spirits of Death and already the cardboard slipcase is coming unglued and inside is just more cardboard. I can imagine in a few years I only have the disc left! And at around £30 per DVD this is not good!
-
Ignore my ignorance as I haven't kept up with these releases at all. Once the titles are announced is there a relatively large gap in release time? When is Cry of a Prostitute due out?
-
Three is a lengthy period between announcement and release. I think Tropic of Cancer may have been a couple of years.
-
Yes, there are long gaps as most of our transfers take a long time to finish, not to mention the extras. We always wait for the release of the title until we are 100% satisfied with the product. We try to better ourselves, but it's tough.

They've unearthed a lost director's cut with Wings Hauser in it.
-
I think it's CRY OF THE PROSTITUTE.
I loved TOP SENSATION, thought the picture quality was great and as for the film...very entertaining. I can't tell you what was going on as I was too busy drooling over Rosalba and Edwige.

Camera Obscura are announcing a new release on Facebook today. I'm hoping for an unreleased giallo, as always. Or a good edition of Death Laid an Egg.
-
Cool! giallo or eurocrime!
Yes Death laid an egg really deserves a beautiful uncut dvd, one the best giallo too!
-
i really hope too for a new giallo, maybe finally the uncut italian version of la lucertola by fulci ? we will see, sure that camera obscura will surprise us again !
-
The Killer Reserved Nine Seats
-
Nice as always! ;)
-
Very nice. ;)
-
Aren't they releasing Come cani Arrabiati next i thought?
-
Any idea when the blu-Ray coming out. I''ve pre-ordered it from dtm but the dates changed to 20th. Is this about right ?
-
Anybody managed to get a copy of The Killer Reserved on either dvd or blu? Camera Obscura titles are starting to get difficult to get hold of. High time they opened their own eBay store or something.
-

Ordered my Blu from Diabolik a few weeks ago, seems the best way to guarantee getting their releases is to pre order. At least that's what I think unless you want to wait and see if they pop up later for inflated prices. Would be cool to be able to order directly though.
-
The dvd was out a couple of weeks ago. Diabolik had it in stock and might still do. The bd was delayed slightly as it wasn't back from the replicators but I believe it is imminent.
-

Or sell on Amazon! I hate having to go to obscure German DVD stores who only accept bank transfers, everything is in German, and is not so easy to navigate! And also ordering from US dealers is not ideal either! Rant over. ;D
-
I find ordering the Camera Obscura discs from Diabolik actually works out cheaper than ordering them from Austria. If you do want to order from within Europe then dtm is your best choice (although they've recently ramped up their postage charges) as you can pay by card and view the store in English.
They can't sell them on Amazon as they aren't fsk rated.
-
But they could sell them via eBay or their own store. If Camera Obscura want their products to sell they need to start making them more readily available and easier to get hold of. Yes Diabolik sell their releases but it does seem a little silly importing a European release all the way from the States with added postage.
Everytime Camera announce a title I think great, always wanted to see that then the headache of where to actually purchase it from begins. I used to use OMG but they seem to have vanished after their Kickstarter campaign.
-
I don't think they have problems getting their product to sell seeing as they pretty much all go out of print in a matter of months. I don't really find it a headache getting hold of them at release.
-
KultVideo also stock Camera Obscura titles. I generally use Diabolik but ordered the early releases from Kult with no issues whatsoever.
-
The problem with KultVideo was being emailed with the shipping total after checkout before you can pay. I didn't receive the email once, not sure if it was their fault or my email, but it just made it too much like hard work. I just want to click and go.
-
Diabolik might be in the US, but their transit times are not much longer than the usual EU stores and their prices work out roughly the same. Great company!
-
Told you!
-
Some unpleasant news: The storm which caused some horrendous floodings in Munster, Germany a few days ago also wreaked havoc in our storehouse. Several hundred copies fell victim to the water. Particulary remaining sets of LA ORCA got it the worst causing the title to go OOP as of now. MARIALÉ got extremely decimated as well which is why, due to financial reasons, we're now thinking about a reissue -- this time on Blu-ray, however. So now we're asing you: Would you be okay with strategy?
-
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
As for a Marialé reissue, I would certainly welcome a Blu-Ray release.
-
Blu ray is good for me, I didn't get around to buying the DVD!
-
It is sad to see these valuable releases ruined.
I purchased Spirits of Death several months ago so upgrade to Blu-ray is not urgent for me. Instead, I would like to buy Come cani arrabbiati Blu-ray.
-
Blu ray is good for me, I didn't get around to buying the DVD!
Ditto.
I hope you were insured.
-
No insurance in this case... We would have never thought this could happen.
-
Such a shame! Would buy Blu-Ray reissues of any of your releases.
-
Hi guys,
Sorry to hear that too! :(
Not interested in a blu reissue as i have the dvd, much prefer CO to work on "new" unreleased movies!
I see there's many NGFAC and KRNS digipacks on the pict..
-
No insurance in this case... We would have never thought this could happen.
Would getting more covers and repackaging the discs not be an option? Or are the discs fucked too?
-
Blu ray is good for me, I didn't get around to buying the DVD!
Snap! So, me too. Shame about the flooding ruining your stock. That's a real bummer!.
-

Good idea, even if it was sleeves like the reissue of So Sweet, So Dead. I'm sure those who don't yet have one would rather get it like that than not at all.
-
Speaking of Camera Obscura, Diabolik have just put up a repackaged "Terror Express" which apparently has the same disc as the CO release proper. Ordered one. :P
-
Sorry to hear of your woes. Awful news.
It's nice that you're asking for fan opinion on the reissue but I think you need to do whatever it is you have to do to stay in business and continue to release these great editions.
-
Sorry to hear about the damage, guys. Hope you get back on your feet soon.
-
Which CO dvds have been rereleased ?
-
We suspect the discs to be destroyed as well. Sometimes it was even impossible to get the discs out of the digipaks since everything was transformed into one wet mess.
-
Anyone know if Killer reserved nine seats have been repressed ?? iam trying to order the first press without success! >:(

The next title has been guessed! It's Carlo Lizzani's masterful juvenile delinquency thriller SAN BABILA ORE 20: UN DELITTO INUTILE (SAN BABILA, 8 P.M.) from 1976, where a gang of fascist young men wreak havoc in Milan. The film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. More details will follow soon!

My tiny Camera Obscura collection has grown by 2 (to make 5, although two are the same film)! I couldn't resist double dipping on Spirits Of Death, despite my DVD shamefully still being sealed. Perhaps I'll be able to sell it on and pick up another CO release to take its place. I wish I'd known about the label earlier, hopefully some of the ones I've missed may make another bow as BD upgrades.
-
Wow 88 films will be releasing Camera Short Nights of the glass dolls, disapointed they're giving their works to other companies AGAIN! That was great to have unreleased elsewhere stuff. :)
Maybe it will help to product more but now every country is releasing the same stuff, you've got the German version, French version, English version etc
Not CO related but Perfume of the lady in black is coming to uk too.. Raro, Xrated, 88 who's next ?
-

thats been the same for a long long time. for many it seems to be what they expect, so they can upgrade. personally, i like the chance to see films i've not seen before - i've bought a handful of particularly good films on BD that had comparatively poor DVD releases many many years ago. CO releases are a little more off the beaten track, and given the limited releases they give them i can see some of them making their way to labels more inclined to put out familiar things, but perhaps this will also help CO with their more unusual stuff and some might even pick up the 88 discussion and find CO through that.
-

Well, if a licensor who owns worldwide rights wants to license it to another territory - he's free to do so. What can we do about that?
Re SHORT NIGHT: we're actually not "giving away" anything. 88 neither have access to our master nor our extras.
-

Doesn't mean anythings been given away if it comes out elsewhere (like they have said), those who actually want the film would have probably bought the quality CO release anyway, I should imagine mainly only those who don't stray out of their realm of 88 and Arrow and ignore things released elsewhere will probably buy it anyway.
Not CO related but Perfume of the lady in black is coming to uk too.. Raro, Xrated, 88 who's next ?
Does it really matter? Or do you want a film to be released in one territory and that's it?
-
88 are a quick buck / cash in outfit. im starting to loathe them. I must buy 1 in 10 of their releases anyway.
and whats stopping them ripping the Camera Obscura print from their BD and printing up their own discs? i wouldn't put this past them. I thought this film was a problematic restoration for C.O. due to mouldy negative are 88 really going to do this work again?
-

Just goes to show how money grabbing a lot of these labels are. I would have thought it be poor taste to shaft your rivals like that. It can only reduce sales for the individual labels.
-
I agree that seeing the same film released 1000x can be off-putting and even annoying. GIVE US SOMETHING FRESH AND NEW!!! :-* :-* :-*
However, and not taking sides here, I don't see anything wrong with 88 releasing a film to the UK market. CO are not the UK market. I guess many folk don't feel comfortable looking further afield from their own shores.
But as Aaron said, I have 90% of CO disks and LOVE every single one of them. So will not be picking this up from 88. I have however picked up a couple of their disks since they are nowhere available on Blu worldwide.

Because it's a criminal offence? :-* and 88 aren't a rival company to CO at all.

technically it may be criminal but who could prove it? and C.O.s overseas English speaking buyers and 88's buyers are in the same market. but im sure because of price imbalance it would just mean CO sell less. COs DVD of Forbidden Photos hanged around a long time, presumably because of BU's DVD being widely and cheaply available.
would you be okay if CO stopped putting English option on their releases because of 88?
-
C.O.s overseas English speaking buyers and 88's buyers are in the same market.
Well yes, in the sense we have access to the internet these days and can order anywhere. But they are not the same territory. So no problem with them releasing a Blu in the UK even if it was already released in Taiwan right? All about licensing etc. Where is the harm in that? But yeah if CO have already released a title and if I was a Blu Ray publisher in the UK, I wouldn't even bother looking at it, what is the point!!! lol
would you be okay if CO stopped putting English option on their releases because of 88?
CO are by far the No Shame of today, so the answer is obvious. ;D ;D

If saved me £25 then yes, yes I would. CO are as boutique as labels come. But that label comes with a price. I haven't got the energy to really care about these kind of things anymore. If a film I love comes out via CO first then great, I'll stump up for it. If I am yet to buy the CO release and 88 announce it then there is only one winner.
-

Let's just hope they last for a longer time, I'm sure they will what with their stellar work they put into their releases.

New upcoming Giallo: "Una farfalla con le ali insanguinate", in collaboration with Arrow.
"announcement -- due to timing-reasons without a quiz: In collaboration with Arrow Video, we will release Duccio Tessari's masterful giallo UNA FARFALLA CON LE ALI INSANGUINATE (THE BLOODSTAINED BUTTERFLY) from 1971 on Blu-ray and DVD. The extras will be plentiful, amongst others a documentary by Freak-O-Rama video productions and us on Tessari's oeuvre featuring many interviews. And please share this announcement if you can! Thank you!"

Didn't know this was a collaboration with Arrow, how will it affect Camera Obscuras sales as Arrows stuff is significantly more friendly on the wallet. I can see quite a few folks skipping the CO release and going for Arrow...
-
I wonder whether Amuck will be a joint effort with 88, then
-
88 Films just rip foreign Blus and add the English language track. That's all they do. I won't support any of their releases.
-
They do a little more than that...c'mon, they employ Wadell :)
And they are working with CO which took me by surprise!
Over at bluray.com the 88 Insider posted ( the typos are his )
We seem to have very unsavoury reputation for some reason and in our opinion it's undeserved. We have never "stolen" a transfer. We operate like every other company in this business, we enquire about a title with a licensor, see if a master exists and if it is satisfactory then either licence it using the existing master that has been offered by the licensor, or if we feel the expense is worth it as in the case of Nightmares in a Damaged Brain, Splatter University, Burial Ground etc we might create our own at a very large expense.
It's difficult to know what else to say, we have never worked in conjunction with another company until Amuck as we have never been approached to do so, we don't really know what we're supposed to have done wrong....
;D
Some of this smells like bullshit to me, I have heard they have been approached to participate with other companies in paying for new masters, and have always declined. Then when the new master is done and paid for they licence for a fraction of the cost. They also have crowdfunded some restorations and are in the process of doing this yet again.
-
I really don't know what's worse: just ripping or doing that thing you say... On the other hand, CO have stated that they have NEVER worked with 88 to share the costs of buying a HD master. 88 are just liars!
-

Don't buy it. I just can't see how that is legal and/or someone hasn't pulled them up on it.

Agreed!
-
The amount of bullshit in this thread is amazing. I'm not a big fan of 88, the Waddell thing, gladly releasing censored films, crowd funding masters for films that were originally with another label etc but I've bought some of their releases.
This is what CO had to say about Amuck:
"88 sublicensed the UK rights from us. We will supervise the scan and restoration process (which will begin shortly) and provide 88 with the restored master."
Some people want to believe every word that comes out of Walt and the ever-likeable bitter Bill's mouth and take it as gospel and others just want to make shit up in their head and spout it out. Anyone with a pair of fucking eyes can see they don't just rip foreign blus. They just use the same masters as X-Rated, Raro etc etc
As for the matter of waiting for transfers to be available even if paid by someone else, that's just business isn't it? As much business as CO realising it's good to work with others or license to others as is their own choice, or as much business as Bill buying worldwide rights to something specifically to stop other territories releasing it???
Saints and sinners obviously in some people's eyes. Unbelievable. Loads of people are acting like they've got money on a horse. This is my hobby. I deal with enough wankers regularly in work so I'm not about to let a bunch of people I don't know get my back up. Some labels I'd probably rather not buy from but if they're the only choice I will because as yet any of them are yet to kill members of my family or friends, or carry out genocide.
Seriously, I bet there are much bigger cunts dealing with the food you eat on a daily basis than any of this lot so go ahead and fucking starve yourselves.
I wish this wasn't all in the Camera Obscura thread as it would be nice if it was cleaned up so people could actually just talk about their releases.
-
You may be right in a lot of what you've just written but I must say that's not the way... I mean, the words and vocabulary you use. Try to relax and use your mind before writing, mate. Take ir or leave it, but it's a good advice.
-
Why? Because I used some "bad words" and pointed some things out? I'm calm and certainly did use my mind beforehand which is advice you probably need when you go around saying they rip foreign blus which is probably libel legally.
-
No idea about ripping foreign blu-rays but they are liars and shady. Also the majority of their releases are of atrocious quality.
-
88 remind of being run by a pair of 21 year olds who have no idea about the films they release they just google films which sound good and then release them :-\
no idea if this is accurate or not :-\
-
I just say that there are many ways to express your disconformity with other people's feelings or opinions. I think I've already told you that you might be right in a sense, but that does NOT imply that you have the right to reject other people's opinions and impose yours, as if it was a dogma.
You know, like many other guys out there, what this label has done with some of their releases not long ago. And that's a fact. A real fact. So, come on, mate, are you going to try and reject that "real fact"?
-

Hate getting twisted into this thread (we should be speaking about CO anyway!!). But curiosity has grabbed me. Can you detail what this label has done and show how you know this?
I ask as I have bought a few of their releases (no problems with them so far!!). What I do know is the "subtitles problem" which hit one of our board members which frankly left a bitter taste.

It's from Camera Obscura direct, it should be in the usual places online to order soon, if not now, though. Diabolik, Kult Video etc
-
What's the web address for their store?
-
I don't think they have store. I reckon Johnny got his copy as a promo / press mailing list for review.

That's pretty much it.

Any idea where the cheapest place is to buy this? Postage is extortionate at every shop I've looked at.

I ordered from Black Lava this time, which had reasonable shipping charges. Not been posted yet though but willing to give them a few more days before prodding them.

last german BD i ordered was via http://www.dvdparadies.at (http://www.dvdparadies.at) and the postage was very reasonable to the UK
-
I ordered from D&T mail order the postage is set at 15 EUR to the UK , so I normally wait for things and put a big order in when a Camera Obscura release is out.
-
I'll wait to either Diabolik or Strange Vice get copies in...though actually the last CO I bought I got off Amazon UK from a seller in Germany
-

This is where I get most of my stuff these days. The owner is a nice guy and you can talk prices with him when you meet him in person. Of course it helps that the shop is just around the corner for me, so I can't comment on his shipping fees.
-
A bit more expensive than they usually are (likely due to the weak pound), but I ordered from Strange Vice. I usually get from DTM and order a bunch of titles to spread the cost, but there's nothing else I really want at the moment (well there's loads, but not financially feasible things). Really looking forward to this. I just re-watched Solange this week too.
-
Thanks for the heads up, ordered from Strange Vice.

I really wish CO would sell via Amazon! But in any case can't wait to bag this one!
-
Order received from Black Lava although now showing out of stock on their site. Can't fault them really and will use again next time, provided shipping charges don't shoot up.
-
Fucking hell that flew out of Strange Vice :(
-
What's the next CO release guys ? any news about Occhio too ?
Sadly i'll skip Amuck for the french version, same for bloodstained butterfly with uk 88 films... there will be missing numbers on the shelve but oh well!
-
Bloodstained Butterfly is Arrow isnt it
-
Yes, and CO will release it, too.
-
I see 88 Films just listed AMUCK specs and release date, any chance CO's Blu will be out before the UK Blu?
-
Yeah, "Daughters" was soooo last week, onto the next one please! I make it there are four announced unreleased titles on the slate but I think Bloodstained Butterfly is the oldest of the four?
-
CO provides some transfer info for DAUGHTERS & AMUCK, worth a look.

Hi Guys
Are Camera still releasing The wild eye and Bloostained butterfly! was on the fence buying Scorpion release until i remember about CO!
-
Everything CO have announced so far has also come out. They just take their time. The only exceptions I remember are the INFERNO bd, which they produced but handed over to Koch Media for licensing reasons, and Andrea Bianchi's CRY OF A PROSTITUTE, which they passed on to FilmArt. In the case of the latter they informed fans early on. So I wouldn't be too worried about the release of their other titles!

Camera Obscura about Cry of a Prostitute:
QUELLI CHE CONTANO was cancelled because the lab was unable to provide a scan that met our quality standards. All they could bring up, after many complaints from our side, was a telecine with incredibly warped frames (and generally unsteady picture stability as it's common for telecines from problematic negatives) before and after every cut that we would've needed to remove -- which would have resulted in a 3 minute shorter running time. Which is unacceptable, so we cancelled unfortunately.
-
Yikes, Bill from Code Red mentioned a label rejected this source and he picked it up and is having it 'fixed' in the USA.
Does not sound good to me.
-
What's the next CO release ? butterfly ? also it's hard to resist Scorpion's The wild Eye, it's on sale right now..
-
Fango Bollente I believe. I don't know what the issues are with Bloodstained Butterfly being so far behind Arrow's.
