Title: Edge Of Sanity (Gérard Kikoïne, 1989) - Franco involvement?

Someone over at the Mobius Home Video Forum claims that the Harry Alan Towers production EDGE OF SANITY (featuring Anthony Perkins) was co-written by Jess Franco under another name. Has anyone ever heard of this? Filmed in 1989, it was some years after Franco and Towers had last worked together (this information is also given on the DVD Drive-In review of the film).

The J. P. Félix writing credit sounds like it could be a Franco pseudonym.  I have no confirmation but I would not be surprised if Towers had approached Franco about a Jekyll and Hyde adaptation back when they were working together (I've wondered if Franco was supposed to be involved with DORIAN GREY as well which was directed by Massimo Dallamano).
