Title: Dead Man Running (Alex De Rakoff, 2009)
Post by: Inspector Tanzi on 15 Mar 2010 - 16:57
I watched this this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tamer Hassan owes Gangster 50 cent 100 grand, if he doesn't get it by 12 noon the next day it's all over for him and his mother. He teams up with his best pal Danny Dyer to try and raise the cash, but getting it is a lot harder than they had antiscipated.

Featuring many known faces including Brenda Blethyn, Phil Davis, Ashley Walters, Alan Ford (who for some reason isn't credited on the imdb) and the bloke who's in that insurance advert who walks over the tables (don't know his name).

I was surprised to see that Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole were two of the producers on the film.

Definately worth a watch.

I saw this last night - perfect Friday night entertainment. Have to say, Tamer Hassan makes a great leading man. Hope he gets more leads off the back of this because he has a great onscreen presence. The film itself is pretty unoriginal but it's great fun.
