This is an incredibly sleazy - and fun - movie. Kinda like an Andy Milligan film, but with added sleaze. You'll love it. I do. But then I have a dwarf fetish.

Report back here when you've seen it.

Think of it as Milligan but done in a John Waters Pink Flamingos style then - better?

I watched this.

I need a fucking shower.

A demented old bat with a slashed face runs boarding rooms in an abandoned playhouse with her cuddly toy obsessed dwarf-child. Little do the down on his luck writer and his wife who rent a room from them know that up in the attic is a torture room cum brothel that they keep kidnapped nudie women addicted to heroine in. The wife gets suspicious of all the men going in and out of the attic and the strange noises that emit from there, the husband does'nt notice cos he's too busy trying to get a job from various publishers. Unable to find writing work he resorts to a menial job at the local toy store run by a guy called Santa. It turns out that Santa is the local heroine supplier who keeps the Sinful Dwarf and his mother supplied with horse and toys. They need a new victim to force into prostitution as the ones they have are getting too out of it on all the smack, they see an opportunity when the writer is sent to France by Santa to bring back a shipment of "toys". His wife is a pretty thing after all..............

I thought this was really boring for the most part, it is very Milliganesque. But the dwarf is a hoot and the sadistic scenes in the torture room are totally depraved. There's not enough of those scenes in it though, they are mostly saved until the end which is hugely entertaining. The rest of it is barely watchable, i got very bored watching the dwarf slowly going up the stairs step-by-step one at a time the first time he did it, but by the seventh time.....
And I really did'nt need the drunken show-tune renditions that his mother kept on giving to her gin-soaked friend.

All in all, i'd recommend it to fans of perv stuff like Wrong Way and the Big Snatch, it's that kinda film. Inept and outrageous.  :-\

Quoting from user review on IMDb.

“The lead actor, Torben Bille, is one the most known dwarf actors in Denmark...I guess, he would rather forget this ultra bizarre piece of sexploitation. Torben lures innocent young girls to his mom's house with help of mechanical toy poodles!! “

What a ploy !!!  that scene alone must be worth the money spent on buying it.  :-*

I just ordered this one on the AWE label.

There are two versions on the disc,a hardcore version and a cut version.
The hardcore version has only previously been shown in Denmark, its the cut version that was exported.

My guess is that, with it being Severin, the hardcore version will have to be purchased separately from the regular release (ala Emanuelle Around the World, Beast in Space).

I wonder about that.  It seems like companies like Severin have to depend less on brick-and-mortar operations for sales than they do online (I doubt THE SINFUL DWARF will end up a Best Buy exclusive - then we'd never be able to find it).

Anyone know if Severin's will be a new master?  Xploited has the 2 disc AWE set for $17.95 but the first disc has burned in Danish subs.

The only known hardcore print has got burnt-in Danish subs so Severin's release will have those too..

My guess is that they will create a new master by editing the hardcore scenes into their newly created master.

My guess is that they will create a new master by editing the hardcore scenes into their newly created master.

But they made the new master FROM the uncut Danish cinema print which has the Danish burnt in subtitles. There is NO other uncut version. There is no uncut print without subtitles.

And let me just stress that what several people call "inserts" are NOT inserts. These scenes were original scenes made for the film like the rest of the scenes. They were CUT OUT when they made the softer international print.

Marc, I notice on several boards now you have advised people to wait for the Severin disk instead of buying the Danish/Swedish disk. Could you once and for all please let us know why everyone should wait for this new upcoming version from Severin?

Someone from AWE told me that the deal AWE struck with Severin is that Severin paid for the new print provided AWE could use it. In other words, the print AWE used for the Scandinavian release is exactly the same as the one Severin will be using. So why is a single disc from Severin better when you can get both versions (international and uncut) by buying the Scandinavian double disk? I'm just curious.

Is there any online reviews of the AWE set with screen caps?

Severin have created a new High Definition master from Novak's original negative. They also have a copy of the Danish uncut version. They will issue two versions, and will will have the additional scenes from the Danish master edited into the new HD master.

So that's the explanation! Thanks, Marc. It sounds complicated though; I mean first Severin have a new master made from the Danish cinema print and then they have another hi-def master made from the negatives. Why make a new master from the Cinema print in the first place? Why didn't they just remaster the scenes that weren't in Novak's print. But maybe they weren't aware of the existence of the negatives when they made the first master off the cinema print? Oh well.  :-*  :-*

No, there aren't, mr. Redeyes. But I'll tell you what there are: A bucketful of Danish mainstream reviews that trashes the film, hahaha.

It's amazing how Danish reviewers still to this day find the film to be "ugly" and unpleasant to watch, LOL. Apart from 1 (o-n-e) mainstream review the only really positive ones were on genre sites.

No, Severin have a digital clone of the same master AWE used. In addition to this, Severin created a new HD master from the newly discovered US version. They didn't make a new master from a cinema print at all.

Limited Edition Blu-ray up for pre-order with Severin...

https://severin-films.com/shop/the-sinful-dwarf-blu-ray/ (https://severin-films.com/shop/the-sinful-dwarf-blu-ray/)

NOW EVEN MORE DEPRAVED ON BLU-RAY!

For a VERY limited time only Severin Films will make available 3000 copies of THE SINFUL DWARF on Blu-Ray. The disc will include TWO versions of the film, plus bonus feature film from its infamous producers, the ultra-rare, THE BLUE BALLOON, scanned at 2k, plus a host of other exclusive extras! Attached is the newly commissioned key art by Wes Benscotter.

Upon its restored DVD release in 2009, it was hailed as “deliciously sordid” (Mr. Skin), “the stuff of lewd legend” (PopMatters) and “a masterpiece of depravity” (Cinefantastique Online). But was there any possible way “the most amazing dirty dwarf movie ever made” (Mondo Digital) could be even more amazingly filthy? Severin Films is now unconscionably proud to present both the hard and soft versions of THE SINFUL DWARF along with all-new extras including a nightmare-inducing hardcore short starring former kiddie-show host and pint-sized pervert Torben Bille himself. Experience “the mother of all Dwarfsploitation films” (The Daily Grindhouse) like never before, remastered from materials recently seized in a Roskilde vice raid!
