Regarding booking tickets, you can pay on the door if you follow te below procedure...

Hi Jonny,
You can pay cash when you arrive, but your must fill in a registration form and send it to me before hand.

You will find a reservation form on our Website www.fantastic-films.com (http://www.fantastic-films.com)
When you get on the website go to PR3, scan down till you find Registration Form, print one off, fill it in and put at the bottom, near my address POA in large letters. then send it to me, at the address printed on the form

I need the names of all the people who you are registering, Each person has to have a personalised badge. When you arrive at the venue go to our registration desk, they will ask your name, and the names of all the people in your party, and upon payment you will be given your badges etc.

Best regards, see you in September.

Shame this isn't in London as Manchester's a bit too far to trevel too. I assume Lenzi will speak through a translater, i know his English isn't very good.

My boss is being a major  :( at the moment, and assigned me some stage shows to manage on these, so unfortunatley I cannot go. A shame since I would of loved to get my stuff signed by Lenzi and Bouchet  8).

Had a great day yesterday and met some nice friendly folks who I'd only talked to online before. Umberto Lenzi was a gent and really cool, didn't mind anyone approaching him and saying hello, getting a photo with him etc

I haven't been to this event since David Hess was there many years ago and I guess since then things have changed a great deal and everyone is now charging for signatures - Who can blame them, it's a good earner for people who may not be getting a great deal of income at this stage of their lives. Just wish I'd known this beforehand as I had hardly any money on me and none in the bank to draw out (payday is next week) so apologies to those guys who I said I would get signatures for - I was plain out of funds and so couldn't stretch to getting you anything.  :-[

Another bummer was that I started to feel incredibly ill near tea time and had to go and sit in the car. This ended up with me going home and missing Bouchet's and Lezni's talks. Really gutted but I thought I was either going to shit myself or throw up everywhere, so the comfort of home beckoned. And no it wasn't booze related, unless the shandy in the venue bar was dodgy...

Luckily the interviews were being filmed for Arrow's CALIBRE 9 and NIGHTMARE CITY Blu-rays so I'll catch up with at least an edited version of events at some point.

This next one is Barbara Bouchet taking a photo of Medway Garage's DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING poster, the whole pile is his and if you look to her right you'll see him blurred as he runs back to the bar to get MORE posters  :-\

The only thing I got signed was my EUROCRIME! poster which already had John Saxon and Enzo G Castellari on there. After having explained to Umberto what the poster was for he thought for a minute and then dived in and wrote...

Lenzi!

He seemed quite pleased with that.  :P

He did indeed, he could speak a little bit of English though.

I'd guess working with all those American and English actors over the years would have helped a bit.

Sorry to hear you were ill Jonny, wondered where you disappeared to? The Q&A's were fun and both Bouchet and Lenzi were on fine form, Lenzi was talking mostly in Italian through a translator. Some great stories about the bust up between Merli and Milian which stilled over into real fighting on set etc. Enjoyed it, very good event, we didn't get out of the venue until about 1AM, followed by yet more drinking back at our hotel....ouch !

It's this sort of behaviour with people wanting to get shitloads of stuff signed that no doubt caused actors/directors etc to start charging for signatures at these sort of events in the first place!

Jonny is only telling part of the story here, i initially got 5 posters signed [ 1x 2-fogli, 3x 4 fogli's, top halves only and the French One Panel you see here], Barbara wanted to take some photos as there was some she hadn't seen before, i had some Japanese posters and she asked to see them also....hence the photo of me running into the bar to grab them.

As for the charging, nothing to do with me gov as Jonny got his stuff signed before me and got charged, i believe she charges at conventions in the US, but i was as surprised as Jonny by this....so not guilty there Aaron !

As for Lenzi i stuck to the limit and he was a true gent, he was talking about the various titles as he was signing, signed my 'Orgasmo' 4-fogli with a little tribute to Carroll Baker, which was nice.

So what exactly have i done wrong here? We travelled up from London to Manchester staying overnight in a hotel, to support a festival with some fine Euro cult stars and directors....where were you???

I didn't mean on the day itself! I mean that over the years instead of having a handful of bits to sign people turning up with shitloads of stuff has no doubt caused them to start charging. So not you directly, but you and your ilk  :D

It's the flopping stuff round and selling it on that led to the charging.

Yep, it was a good day, and Lenzi and Bouchet were great.

There did seem to be not as many people there as I'd have expected (I can't help feeling that if it were ten years ago, it would've sold out), the movie screening set-up wasn't great, and Manchester itself was a nightmare to get around.

However, these were pretty minor irritations and it was a very good day.
