The German disc's PQ left a lot to be desired, eh?

To put it mildly... Would love a decent release of this though, even with the mad Irish dubbing.

Absolutly love this film and a decent print would be wonderful. The Irish dubbing just adds to its trashy charm for me  ;D

I liked this one but wouldn't go wild for it. I'll only upgrade if I get a decent enough price for my hardbox.

Just out of intrest how 'bad' is the transfer for Iguana, I'm thinking of parting with £15.99 for the New DVD release. I've had my eyes on it for a while.

No worries, it was so hard to find when NEW put it out on DVD it was hard to resist. I'm happy to have it though obviously an upgrade would be nice.

I sold mine for more than that. It's watchable but I'm hoping another version comes along. How come it's so easily available again? I just checked eBay and there are about 15 copies with the sellers who have got multiple copies available.

I saw this in the local newsagent in a box set with two other films for about a fiver the other day. I doubt it has any English options though.

I've finaly got to see Iguana after all these years, I managed to get a cheap DVD. It's a very odd sight to see a giallo set in Dubin, the opening titles take full advantage of the location but most of the film doesn't seem to somehow. I assume most of the film was shot in locations around Dublin / Eire? Which could be reason why the sets and set dressings are amongst some of the flatest I've seen in any film, the colour scheme seems to be very muted and drab. The plot itself is relatively ok but it really suffers from pacing issues, it seems to take an age for Dagmar to appear. I did find it rather strange that her father was so cool about his young daughter bringing a guy back to the ambassadors estate who's old enough to be her father, especially as the ambassador knows who the guy is, and we discover later in the film Dagmars character has a house / estate of her own. I know you shouldn't shit on your own doorstep but really!

All that moral outrage brings me to the sight of a virtually naked teenager, I really wasn't expecting that much flesh to be shown!

Is this still the only version available? No English DVD anywhere?
