Well Blue Underground and Severin are two different companies. Blue Underground are still relasing some very nice titles. I just received from them:

EUGENIE
You'll all be very pleased to hear that EUGENIE (on screen title EUGENIA) features both the original French track (with optional English subtitles) plus the English dub.

Run time = 90m 41s (as opposed to the Wild East version which was a PAL conversion with a run time of 86m 50s). Ratio is anamorphic 1.66:1 and has been transferred from the negatives - it's never looked this good. It really does look incredible.

Extras:
- Franco de Sade - interview with Writer/Director Jess Franco (20 mins)
- Theatrical Trailer (Murder! But more than murder. Incest! But more than incest...)

An essential must buy!

CECILIA
Just had a quick look at CECILIA. Again this features the original French track with optional English subtitles, as well as an English dub. Ratio is anamorphic 1.66:1. On-screen title is CECILIA, with a Eurocine copyright date of 1982. Direction is credited to Claude Plaut. Run time is 104m 50s - that's a whole lot longer than Aberraciones sexuales de una mujer casada (84m 06s) and my old French VHS of La Proie du Désir (92m 48s)

Extras:

- Sexual Abberations of Cecilia (interview with Director Jess Franco, 17 mins)
- Theatrical Trailer (Cecilia is a woman in love with life. Sensual... provocative. Too provocative perhaps...)

Franco opens his interview with a chuckle and "Cecilia doesn't exist. The title of the film is not CECILIA....

So.. how does CECILIA compares to Aberraciones sexuales de una mujer casada?

EUGENIE

An essential must buy!

I saw Tim Lucas' write up about this DVD the other day and ordered it straight away.

I posted news about these two discs last week over at Latarnia:

Latarnia: Eugenie + Cecilia

And I said that I really must get Mondo Erotico back up and running!

to me EUGENIE (DE SADE as it used to be known as...) is one of the very best Franco-films, brilliant on all levels and with Paul Müller in one of his best performances ever. Highly recommended for those who haven´t seen it! It is a bit in style with SINNER, hope that one will get a dvd release as well sometime, so that more people get to see it and hopefully the notion of Jess Franco as only a cheap trash-director with a love for the zoomlens finally could be put out of date. (Sure he is that as well, and that´s why i love him!)
CECILIA isn´t as mandatory viewing, but quite fun. I have an old english language copy, taken from god-knows what source, can check the runtime sometime, but to be honest i like it when Franco keeps it short.....
And Marc, nice to see the old Franco-enthiusiasm back up! An updated Mondo Erotico would be a most welcome New Years gift, it´s been an invaluble source for years!!

I'd also like to see Mondo Erotico running again in some manner, even if it's just a space for Marc to post whatever thoughts he likes on current cool titles.  Both those new Franco titles are essential purchases for me, especially EUGENIE.  If Blue Underground or Severin can dig up just a few more quality Franco titles in 2008 with docos from old Jess, I'll be quite happy.

Yeah, you really must. Your site was extremely useful when it came to finding out info about releases that would otherwise pass under our radars, so it would be great to have it back. ;)

Thanks Marc. I'll certainly get my credit card out for The Sister of Ursula as soon as it's available to pre-order. Looking forward to further announcements as well. "The outrageous, the titillating, the gory, the gialli, and for the lucky few of that particular persuasion, more Franco" certainly sounds promising. Especially the promise of more gialli  ::)
I'm not the biggest Franco fan, but dvds of his films are usually worth picking up for the interviews alone.

Marc  I would like to see Severin do a widescreen transfer of Argentos Sleepless. That would be excellent.

I wouldn't have thought that would be the type of film they're interested in to be honest.

Could someone tell me what the general plotline is in Beast in Space? Is it soft core porn?

Think of Borowczyk's LA BETE/THE BEAST, but set in space. It's as simple as that, really. There are several different edits of the film, of varying degrees of {ahem} 'hardness'.

It's quite a good film. At least, I like it. I'm definitely looking forward to Severin's DVD release.

I'm also looking forward to LA SORELLA DI URSULA, as I've only seen that film via an nth generation videocassette copy.
