Perhaps this could re-surface thanks to some Italian company, like Polselli's lost film MANIA did.
Just been reading that there's a new book due out next year in Italy from the team that publish 'Cine 70' magazine,Andrea Napoli and Franco Grattarola,which will be devoted to Italian hardcore cinema.It features an introduction by Polselli who himself directed many h/c films that are nigh impossible to find,hopefully we'll hear more details about this soon.

Seriously, this is probably
the most neglected and forgotten part of Italian cinema. Probably because very few of these films ever saw much release outside of Italy and I can sort of understand why. Having had the rather dubious pleasure of watching several Italian porno films of the early 80s, I can attest to the fact that most of them feature a lot of ugly, un-erotic sex - with the majority of the performers being plain-looking at best. But at the same time I am fascinated by these films, which can be a lot of fun. Maybe it's because of the wacky plots, or the absurd notion that these films are actually meant to titillate, but either way they can be good fun if you're in the right kind of mood. Led by the scandalous Marina Frajese and Mark Shanon and his infamous warty balls, there seems to have been a small troupe of hardcore actors that were re-cycled in almost every single one of these films. My favorite of these hardcore divas is the inimitable Guia Lauri Filzi, a stern-faced, constantly angry-looking brunette. Some may know her as the girl who performs in the hard scene with Luciano Rossi in HOTEL PARADISE but I remember her best for her apparent food fetish. She gets dildoed with a big banana by former legitimate actress Paola Montenero in DOLCE GOLA, and eagerly plays with a big cucumber in KLITO BELL, but the most outrageous food scene I've seen her in was in FASHION MOVIE, where she shoves spoons full of greasy jam into her vagina. NOT a pretty sight - believe me! But I still like Guia! She's a great trash diva, and she also appeared in some non-pornographic films like BLACK DEEP THROAT and DEATH HUNT. The other notable hardcore divas who were active from around 1979 onwards (before that there wasn't any porn market in Italy) were Laura Levi, Pauline Teutscher, Sandy Samuel, Sonia Bennett (the only black girl of the bunch), Sabrina Mastrolorenzi, Nadine Roussial, Françoise Perrot and Mary Ramunno. Curiously, each and every one of these girls completely vanished post-1984, at which point the porno scene seemed to change - with new actors appearing to replace the old ones. Only Marina Frajese, who was by far the most popular of all the porno ladies, remained, and continued to work until the early 90s. A couple of early 80s porno have had nice released in Italy, and are well worth picking up for those into crazy cinema. Just don't expect anything particularly sexy as Guia and the others are a far cry from the French hardcore divas of that era like Brigitte Lahaie, Marilyn Jess etc.
