Just received my copy of this, the latest book to be published by Bloodbuster. Limited to 1000 copies (mine is number 103) and again like the Crime book they published a couple of years ago it's a quality publication full of invaluable information. The only real drawback is that it is in Italian only. It's still a very worthwhile purchase for the English speaking fan though as there's full page repro's of video/poster art a pictorial guide to the actors and actresses who featured in these films, a director's index showing the films each director made in this genre, discography, DVD/VHS release info plus alternate titles for the films from around the world.

My only real gripe, aside from no English friendly options would be the lack of colour throughout the book. I would have gladly paid double the price for full colour images. That aside it's a quality book and well worth picking up.

Wow! That looks really cool! I'll have to pick that up. I'm slowly, slowly learning a bit more Italian. With the help of a dictionary, fotoromanzi and cineromanzi are a great way to learn some Italian. My dream is that one day I'll be able to read complete books or watch films in Italian!

Hehehe, I am seriously tempted! Problem is the Italian text and the black & white pictures... Is there any mention of Sergio Martino's HANDS OF STEEL?

Is it available at Kult Video? Thinking of ordering it along with the DVD of NAPOLI SERENATA CALIBRO 9.

ESCAPE FROM PARADISE is a really obscure movie- not even sure if there was an English dub for it- probably not as the Japanese VHS that I have is in Italian language. Must have been the last Italian post-apocalyptic film along with THE BRONX EXECUTIONER- which mostly consisted of stolen footage from Guerrieri's THE FINAL EXECUTIONER

According to the book it had VHS releases on the Number One & Titanus (Widescreen) labels. Released in France as 'La fuite au paradis' and in Germany as 'Ausbruch aus dem Paradies'

WHOA! Who is Pamela Prati and Loredana Romita?!? Don't know their names but what were they in? I'm gettin' this now.

Pamela Prati is an actress, singer and showgirl. She's been active since the early 80s and is still quite famous in Italy. You may remember her as George Eastman's woman in Lenzi's IRONMASTER. She's also been a very frequent magazine centerfold. Try a simple eBay search and you'll probably find dozens of magazines that feature nude pictorials of Pamela. I have a couple of magazines with her myself. Pretty well-shaped lady:





Loredana Romito is another girl who posed naked in lots of magazines and played various supporting roles in Italian films. Her only leading role that I know of is in the erotic 80s giallo FATAL TEMPTATION from 1987.
