Saw that there's not a thread for this great flick. Anyone else feel any love for it? I think it's Soavi's best film; surreal, funny and oodles of naked Anna Falchi goodness...

I watched the featurette on the ABUS disc last night and thought it was really rather good.

What's the best DVD edition of this? I've got the old 'Red Edition' DVD from years ago.
Is it worth getting the ABUS one as an upgrade?

I LOVE this film.

I remember trying to get my old flatmates to watch it. They didn't "get it".

Total classic, highly rated by the Broonage.

I have the Italian disc on the Medusa Film label and have recently bought the ABUS disc – the ABUS disc can be had off DVD Pacific for less than $6 and it's got 5.1 sound and a nice half and hour documentary, mate.

I had the Red Edition but upgraded it when the Medusa disc came out, as it's non-anamorphic.

One of my favorite films of all times. I can (an have) watched it again and again, without tiring of it. It's a gorgeous, funny, stylish, grotesque and moving film that appeals to me on so many levels. I'm happy to say that I've even been able to get several of my friends who have a more "ordinary" taste in films to warm up to it!  ::)

I got this on 2 discs but haven't watched either of them yet. I've read good things about it but just haven't had the time to see it. I'm going to move it up the pile again i think....

It's really a shame that it became somewhat quiet concerning Michele Soavi, following the critical success of "Dellamorte Dellamore".
He's certainly a director of great visual, but also narrative talent, combined with a great sense of humour, who just seemed to get to the "real" stuff on his path to fame. :o
Has anybody any info on what he's up to these days? The last I heard was something concerning Italian TV projects.
My knowledge of why he skipped from the movie making landscape is very vague, but as far as I recall it had to do with very understandable prersonal matters concerning his family.

This movie is beautiful. One of the LAST Italian horror movie of note and one of the best.

I have the Medusa disc. Happy with that.

Right. Now I remember.

As much as I'd welcome a new movie by Soavi, who'd honestly blame him for having other priorities, given the circumstances.
Makes him even more likeable.
