It's not often I feel proud to be swedish but this mid-eighties low budget actioneer makes me feel like parading down the streets waving flags and stuff! Let me start off by saying that its the most violent 1980s action movie i've seen with not one but TWO slow-mo, bloodspurting, Peckinpah-style scenes of little kids being gunned down! It's almost impossible to cram in more squibs, mayhem and explosions in 90 minutes than this little monster offers. Except for the insane amount of carnage this is a very enjoyable little film with lots of 1980's charm... Watch out for "Transformer"-era Lou Reed-lookalike supersoldiers and the guy hacking into the US central security on his C-64!

Now for the good news: this was just released on DVD in Germany! Forget the cut version released on DVD in the UK, this should be the fully uncut version which was only released on VHS in Japan. Beyond awsome! Do yourself a favor and order it right now!

Now we just need ok DVD:s of Mats Helge's key-titles, stuff like "Ninja Mission", "Animal Pretector" & "Fatal Secret"... Have anybody contacted Criteron?

ANIMAL PROTECTOR & FATAL SECRET, now there´s some seriously ridiculous stuff! feel your braincells melt away and your limps soften as Mats Helge attacks your eyes with fluffy hair and bare breasted males.. BLOOD TRACKS is a must, watch the Europe-guitarist Kee Marcello get his head chopped of by mutants straight out of THE HILLS HAVE EYES....!

Call me a moron if you like... I've enjoyed all Mats Helge films i've seen on some level. Even his most notorious journeys into turkeydome like THE FORGOTTEN WELLS or THE MAD BUNCH have their demented charm.

Me too, I enjoy Alfonso Brescia's late 80s abominations such as MIAMI COPS and CROSS MISSION. Nothing better than cheese.
