Although the Italian cut under the title MISTERIA was cut for all ages, the Italian DVD from Flamingo is not cut for violence (there was a previous non-anamorphic letterbox Italian DVD from Prisma but do not know the status), it is missing approximately 1 minute three separate places during the Det. Mike Livet's (Tomas Arana) first trip to the stables to question Guy (Giovanni Lombardo Radice) including an insert of horse hooves on the cobblestones, Mike's arrival by car, and the low angle introductory shot of Guy on horseback and Livet walking into the stable area (41 seconds).  The Italian version syncs up with the English verison with a shot of Mike walking towards Guy who is grooming his horse.  This shot is a long dialogue take which tracks with them a short distance across the cobblestones.  The next cut occurs right after the cut from Mike and Guy outside to a shot of them through the window of dead man Abe's stable quarters (6 seconds of dialogue) before Mike follow Guy to the door and the camera tracks across the inside to the door as they open it (present in the Italian version) before another 17 second cut of Mike and Guy in the doorway when Guy tells him Abe continued to make use of the stables after he was married (the Italian version cuts directly from their entrance to the POV camera pan of the interior which follows the aforementioned exchange).  The final edit occurs to the last seven seconds of the swimming pool murder including the last stabbings and the dead man's face (no gore).

Both the Image and Flamingo end credits fade out to obscure the original credit for Orff's Carmina Burana and fade to the disclaimer.  The credit appears in the Dutch DVD (which is the same master used for the Madacy DVD).

Italian actor Silvano Tranquilli is credited as the dubbing director of the Italian version.

Not watched this for a good few years (last time I saw it is when the Image DVD came out), quite a nice transfer on the X-Rated Blu Ray, a company that for years was very hit and miss with their DVD releases, since they've been putting out Blu's they appear to be doing a good job.
