Delitto a porto romana (Bruno Corbucci, 1980)
« on: 05 Feb 2008 - 14:53 »

I've had the Italian Medusa DVD of this for a while now and thought I'd finally give it spin today, even though there's no English options. Not really 100% sure of the plot in great detail but here's what I could pick up...

From the looks of it Nico Giraldi is now living in a motor home with his pregnant wife and her mother. Bombolo is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is accused of a murder and sent to prison...

Giraldi chases a bad guy dressed as an ice hockey goalkeeper...

More bad guys flee from Giraldi in a car so he chases after them on roller skates...

Giraldi catches some bad guys wearing some whacky shades...

Someone needs to release these with English subtitles! I'm dying to know what's really going on!  :-\

Those screengrabs are lovely. One of the German (or Scandinavian, yes Magnus, that means you) companies needs to do a Giraldi box set, complete with English subs.

I felt the same way when I saw Delitto in formula Uno and Delitto al ristorante cinese in italian only, they look so well made, you just know it's gotta be good.

Judging by those screen grabs, this looks amazing. Any word on a possibly English version?

Distorty, a lot of the Giraldi films were never released in English language versions and haven't even turned up sub-titled. You'd need a very patient bi-lingual to do such a job. Do you know one?  :-\

Welcome to the forum, BTW.

How rude, I should have introduced myself.

Unfortunately I don't know any patient bi-lingual movie fans. I wish.

Yes, it's 'Squadra antigangsters' (The Gang That Sold America) which is one of the few that has an English dub...
