Euro Cult Directors on screen appearances
« on: 24 Feb 2008 - 19:56 »

Anyone spotted any Euro Cult Directors in front of the camera?

I'll start this off with Enzo G Castellari from 'The Heroin Busters'

Paolo Cavara from 'The Black Belly of the Tarantula' (fleeting glimpse but it counts!)

And Dario Argento from 'Innocent Blood' in his role as 'Paramedic'

Jonny,

you've probably caught Enzo in several of his films during the 70s too:

He was the interviewing reporter in High Crime

He was the restaurant owner who was going to help Nico until the Racket kicked the crap out of him

He has a rather big part in Kira

A mexican bandito in Cry Onion

He was the muscle man who kicked Nero around in Shark Hunter

and he beat up Franco again in the Return of Sandokan  (okay mid 90s :D)

----

Since Enzo and Dario are really the only two directors I recognize besides Leone, I can't really come up with anyone else.

*Off to get grabs of as many of those as I can*

Enzo is also near the start of BRONX WARRIORS 2.

Fulci obviously had cameos in many of his films as well as starring in NIGHTMARE CONCERT.

Just watching an episode of STRACULT and there's Fernando Di Leo in MILANO CALIBRO 9 - I'd never noticed before!

Isn't that supposed to be Jean Rollin as the would-be rapist at the beginning of THE SEDUCTION OF AMY?
