I saw in another topic that Stephen watched Qui squadra mobile that was a nice tv-serie on italian tv... no words for your passion Stephen  ;)

In the 70's there were several good giallo series in italy, I watched them on tv when I was child

Some years ago i knew an italian collector who made a copy for me of several series so i could re-watched them... the same fucking fear of 30 years ago  :-*

These series often were very close to crime movies genre, with the same actors, writers, also score composers

just they were more slow than a movie, and they were built to leave a big suspance from a part to the next, so you had to wait a week before seeing the next part, my preferite was and is still Dov'è Anna? with 7 or 8 parts if I remember well, it ruined my young life because this is really dramatic and sad, no children protection on italian television in the 70's  :-\

unfortunately the quality was poor, often in B&W

however if someone can be interested, my preferite are:

- Dov'è Anna? (Pier Paolo Capponi is the Inspector)
- L'Enigma delle due sorelle (Delia Boccardo shows her boobs  ::) for the first time on italian tv)
- Così per gioco (a lot of well known crime movies actors)
- Ritratto di donna velata (starring Daria Nicolodi, about Etruschi mistery)

Thank you Polla  :P
It's an interesting program that i've wanted to see since i heard the end credits music on your 'Attori' cd,very talky but with good action scenes like the bank robbery episode.
Have you seen the 2nd series from 1976?

Here's a website devoted to the series QUE SQUADRA MOBILE which was written by Massimo Felisatti and Fabio Pittorru who both also wrote A TUTTE LE AUTO DELLA POLIZIA,SILENT ACTION,SICILIAN CHECKMATE etc.

http://digilander.libero.it/gialloitalia/qsmprot.html

Can anyone confirm that Felisatti and Sergio Grieco directed VIOLENCE FOR KICKS(I violenti di Roma bene) under the pseudonyms Segri-Ferrara?

There are sooo many of these TV series I'd love to watch but most of them are very hard to find and of course in Italian only. I know A... COME ANDROMEDA is out on DVD but I wish some company could release a subtitled version that and also RITRATTO DI DONNA VELATA and of course the Twilight Zone-inspired series ALL'ULTIMO MINUTO directed by Ruggero Deodato.

QUE SQUADRA MOBILE also looks very interesting and I have to wonder if this series inspired Mario Caiano's THE MANIAC RESPONSIBLE a.k.a. CALLING ALL POLICE CARS because some of the characters in Caiano's film have the same names as the people in the SQUADRA MOBILE series: Carraro, Giovanna Nunziate, Attardo.

Oh, and LO INTRIGO is a find!!! Amazing! Is there any more info on this one?

Great work Johan,i'd say there's a good chance it did as Felisatti/Pittorru also wrote Caiano's CALLING ALL POLICE CARS (..A tutte le auto della polizia) which was made a couple of years after the first series. Also from what i've read the 2 had quite a number of crime/gialli pulp novels published around the same time, interesting sounding titles like Violenza a Roma,La Madama etc.
