I watched this for the first time in a while. Stands up well and definitely quite risky in the sexual stakes for it's time, British-wise. Quite atmospheric still, even with struggling to get 'Yes, Minister' out of my head every time Derek Fowlds was onscreen. What is it with the British and fucked up crazy sibling/offspring films around then? People must have watched films like this, 'The Shuttered Room' and 'The Ghoul' and be scared stiff of visiting anywhere off the beaten track over here.
The Elite disc still looks good but I was watching on an SD set with a little zoom.
I haven't seen it for while though, am I right in thinking Anthony Valentine's hypnosis machine - that he uses on Penny - gives off a multi-coloured light show?
It kind of reminded me of those classic late seventies/eighties light boxes that were the mobile and school disco standard.
