I just found out this was on BBC2 late last night. Did anyone catch it?

I watched this for the first time in a while. Stands up well and definitely quite risky in the sexual stakes for it's time, British-wise. Quite atmospheric still, even with struggling to get 'Yes, Minister' out of my head every time Derek Fowlds was onscreen. What is it with the British and fucked up crazy sibling/offspring films around then? People must have watched films like this, 'The Shuttered Room' and 'The Ghoul' and be scared stiff of visiting anywhere off the beaten track over here.

The Elite disc still looks good but I was watching on an SD set with a little zoom.

I haven't seen it for while though, am I right in thinking Anthony Valentine's hypnosis machine - that he uses on Penny - gives off a multi-coloured light show?

It kind of reminded me of those classic late seventies/eighties light boxes that were the mobile and school disco standard.

I have that one: German/English language, non-anamorphic widescreen but decent quality overall. Probably the same print as the DD disc fdsmedia has mentioned.

I'm keen to see this and so just ordered the Italian DVD (with English language options) from Ebay.

On there under the title "La Torre Del Male"

Cheers,

I watched this for the first time not so long ago off the aussie umbrella dvd(which didn't look too great, looked like an ntsc to pal conversion to me)but I really enjoyed it anyway(far more than i was expecting to tbh)

I also found it enjoyably atmospheric and definitely worthy of a repeat viewing so was on the look out for a better version when Scorpion announced their Blu so i'll definately be picking it up when it's released ::).

Was a staple on TV, and what a cracking little Thriller. Don't have any DVD release of this, and I haven't seen it in years, so this Blu Ray is most welcome.

Just watched the Italian DVD. Picture wasn't great (muted colours and a fair bit of bleed) so probably best to go for the Elite disc or wait for the Blu.

I really liked the opening and the sleazy, almost nihilistic tone but I thought it didn't capitalise on this.

I watched the Scorpion Blu Ray last night, it has quite a nice transfer. I hadn't seen it for at least twenty years, last time I saw it was on the Iver tape.

Last time I saw it was probably on late night TV on ITV. I watched the Scorpion blu the other week. Lovely transfer and still a decent Brit-horror. I'd forgotten Raffles was in it!

Just bought the BD finally and arrived today,  it'll probably take a while but apparently none of these Scorpion BD's will be repressed after they sell out.
