Along with Reverend Colt, this is the latest release from New. Information on this one is scarce, although based on Vari`s Django The Last Killer, I`m inclined to take a chance. It`s a treasure hunt story starring Anthony Ghidra - looks like he plays a character named Billy Blood -  anyone here seen it?

I heard it might get reissued with English audio in a few months, Andrew so no need to take a chance just yet.

Never seen it but I've always liked the title.

Thanks for the tip Martin, I did wonder about the lack of english audio.

After double checking I did find a review for this in WAI vol. 3, they say it`s a small, original gem of Italian westerndom, worthy of a re-discovery. The term "catacombal western" was coined for this film, due to the peculiar setting - the Salone caves near Rome, seen in many sword and sandal epics and also used by Leone in some of the partly deleted sequences of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Well I was just too curious about this one so I did end up getting it, and as Dorado has said it`s great. Ghidra is fine as the loner who stumbles on a treasure hunt and reliable villain`s villain Robert Hundar is suitably nasty as the baddie. It`s quite a violent film too - like an arm wrestling contest that ends with the loser`s hand impaled on a bed of nails - and it has some unusual touches such as having two women intervene on the hero`s behalf. Memorable somber and moody score by Pregadio - several tracks are on the DRG vol. 2 compilation.

If it`s indeed the case that an english dub version won`t be surfacing anytime soon, I highly recommend getting this as it`s a very well done film. One odd thing though, no opening or end credits on the German version though they are present on the Italian credits included as an extra.

Cheers Martin

It's probably worth picking it up to be honest.

I reckon you'll like it.

The thing is, if you wait for one with English audio it might not surface, if you buy it it will probably come out sooner rather than later :-\

That's happened to me a few times with these youtube threads, then suddenly they are there again.

I think it's just an internet thing, it sometimes happens with imageshack photos aswell, no matter how many time you refresh they won't show and on another occasion they are there.
