You reck this would be getting as an intro to Spaghetti Westerns? I`m thinking its a collection of 'Public Domain' films but at less than a quid a movie........mmmm?

The titles ripped off Wild East's DVDs should at least be good quality.  Though it seems that JOHNNY YUMA is OOP so its probably the only way to see it.

As an intro I'd say it has about eight or nine films worth watching. Though you're probably better off getting the MGM DVD of DEATH RIDES A HORSE because I doubt they'd rip off their transfer.

This is one of the Millcreek sets, you can get the same set with UK postage for less than a tenner from axelmusic.com

Personally I wouldn't recommend it - the Millcreek prints are usually very low quality and more often than not fullframe, fine for low budget horror which is most of their stuff, but scope/colours SWs will probably come out pretty badly. Instead I would recommend picking up the Blue Underground discs of 'Django', 'Bullet for the General' and 'Companeros' for a good genre introduction. The discs are about £7.50 each with UK postage from axelmusic and the PQ is top quality on all the titles.

My website has lots more recommended SW DVDs when you get into the genre! http://mondo-esoterica.net/links_pages/Spaghetti_Western.html

Seconded. If you don't like Django, in particular, then you won't like ANY Spaghetti Westerns.

Is there anyone who doesn't like Django?

Django is cool. Not seen it in many years tho. My old vhs had the ear scene cut i think. I have seen that scene shown intact on tv.

Not that I know of. Even the Mrs likes it and she hates Spaghetti Westerns.
