  • Soon to be a Major Motion Picture

Btw, someone closely connected to THE CLIMBER told me the lead role was originally intended for Franco Nero.

Nero is a great actor but after having seen this movie I believe Dallesandro was better for that role.

My favorite ones

*FANGO BOLLENTE

*L'AMBIZIOSO

*A small note (Pardon if I make some error in the writing)

In Imdb  FANGO BOLLENTE : The edition in Spain puts that I call you  "JUSTICIA PARA TODOS" ( Who will have been the clever one that has dared to put that I title)....

That titles it is also of  Vittorio Salerno but it is another previous polizesco  "No il caso è felicemente risolto / No, the Case Is Happily Resolved (1973)

The truth doesn't understand those things....Shameful that of IMDB :-[

I also likes Salerno's No, the Case Is Happily Resolved. It has the feeling of a Claude Chabrol thriller.

I watched SAVAGE THREE last night and loved it. THE CLIMBER's great, SEASONS FOR ASSASSINS less so. I could take or leave BORN WINNER. But SAVAGE THREE! It's full of all the things I love about Italian cinema. Very brutal, with the kind of crazy energy that makes most other cinema seem polite, if not downright repressed. Joe's great in it, and the rest of the cast are good too. There's a little bit of implied social something-or-other (Joe and his cronies do souless jobs in a futuristic factory) and lingering shots of white mice in a laboratory. A goofy hard-rock soundtrack from Panama Red. And too many highpoints to mention. Joe driving a forklift! The gang and the pimp! Joe giving his wife the kiss-off! It's even got a riot at a football match. The only thing that would make this one better is a widescreen copy that isn't subtitled in Greek. Anyone got a copy of MADNESS?

Indeed. Paul and myself are the kings of buying films but never watching them.  :-*

Damn, just realized that I know and love all movies mentioned here! Ok, "Born Winners" is a tad weaker than the others though IMO...but guess what: I've never watched "Savage 3", need to get it asap... >:(

It's all about Fango Bollente for me..he's such a bastard in it!. And even though the cheesy rock theme tune is played ad nauseum, it's still great and fits the film well.
