Wow, that looks interesting. Thanks for the heads-up! I see you can download the book for a good bit less than a hard copy but that doesn`t interest me at all. I hope it`s got plenty of stills and posters.

Edit - I see from the blog that David Z and Paul Cooke are the authors, they know their stuff so this should be an informative and entertaining read. David Z has his own blog that`s worth a look, covers lots of the films we love.

This looks as if it was made specially for me  ::) I am only concerned about the quality of the print and about ordering. Hopefully I can order it straight from the guys cause I don't really want to use that Lulu site.

i doubt it by the looks. It looks like they have used an old faded pic of Blastfighter for the cover.

If anyone wants to get an idea of some of the contents of the book, here`s a Bruno Mattei tribute that Paul Cooke did for Cinema Nocturna: http://www.cinema-nocturna.com/index.php?ind=reviews&op=entry_view&iden=67   I`d imagine this is the basis for the same article in the book.

Any comments on this? New Euro Cult reading is thin on the ground and I'm thinking of ordering a copy.

Sorry to detract from the overall topic of the thread but I'd recommend Cinema Italiano by Howard Hughes (i know there's a thread elsewhere) but it's a nice little read. No masses of info we don;t already know about but it was certainly nice for me to read up on the genres I've not much knowledge of (peplums, war films, etc). So if you're stuck and not already got it, snap one up, mate. Picked mine up on eBay new for about a tenner.

Essential since it is pretty much the only ref book containing so many titles!
Fun read, and remember these guys thrive on this genre so a bad terrible film will still get some kudos.
Lack of colour and not many pictures, also not enough info on available versions (DVD, VHS etc) - but otherwise this is a keepie! I've picked up a dozen or so films since I bought it.
