Not to concerned about that programme you northerners love "Emmerdale Farm" but what's this "Dr.Terrible" programme, what's it about Jonny ::)

Okay, so I watched DIE SCREAMING MARIANNE this evening and wasn't impressed. I wasn't expecting much, as the reviews I've read are poor and Walker himself admits that it's not the film he set out to make...

I just thought it was turgid. The scenes in England seemed to work well, but whenever the action transfered over to Portugal, it became tedious. The plot holes were really grating as well - I'm will to suspend disbelief, but only so far. There were some pretty large liberties taken, if you ask me.

It's not been called 'Emmerdale Farm' for years now Tanzi! Just plain 'Emmerdale' these days  :D

Pete Walkers films convey an inescapable aura of gloom and dread especially when you juxtapose the viewing of what imo are his two most well focused,acidic and most perceptive films, that being House of Mortal Sin and Frightmare.
