Lady Of The Night (Piero Schivazappa, 1985)
« on: 12 Apr 2008 - 13:46 »

I'm just writing my Film4 review of Schivazappa's The Laughing Woman and saw this other feature title on IMDB. It stars Serena Grandi from Tinto Brass' Miranda and is out uncut on DVD in the UK. Anyone seen it? I'm keen to check it out.

It's not that good.  Grandi plays the wife of a pilot.  She flirts with other men.  Cheats on her husband.  He leaves.  She has more adventures.  They make up.  Since its from the eighties, she's an aerobics instructor so there's lots of aerobics footage.  Its nowhere near as interesting as THE FRIGHTENED WOMAN.  I used to have a Greek tape of LADY OF THE NIGHT but I sold it off.

It is available on DVD if you're interested. As far as I can recall - and it's probably revealing that I can't remember much about it - it's moderately interesting '80's softcore. It's certainly nowhere near as good as Femina Ridens. I've got in on VHS and have never felt the need to upgrade.
