Anyone notice that there's a German DVD out for this? More to the point does anyone have it and can let us know about the a/v quality?

Amazon.de list it as being 16:9, with German audio. Only 6.99 euros too...

a Friend of mine hast and has the following info:

Widescreen 2.35 (16:9); German Audio only (most likely remastered German Print)
Runtime 93:22 PAL

i'd say someone try the thing out, it could be the best Thing ever seen for this rare movie...

Great post Jonny, I have wanted to see this for a very long time.  Anyone know whether there is an English audio track available, would make a nice fan dub.  :D

I've got a copy of the English language version too, doesn't look to be a 1st gen copy though. Audio is a little low on it so might have to get an upgrade off you Marc ready for when the German disc arrives.

Might still need a copy of your Finnish tape though, just for the audio, as my DVD-R is NTSC and I'll need a PAL copy to synch up with the German DVD.

i'm sure the Finish DVD-R is still in PAL-Length, Jonny. converting a VHS Tape to NTSC DVD-R is not gonna change its runtime. if you have problems with NTSC-PAL Audio Files, always ask me ;)

Finished dubbing the German DVD into English. Very nice 16:9 enhanced 'scope print, I filtered out a lot of the noise that was present on the Finnish VHS audio track and boosted the volume a touch. Looks and sounds pretty good I reckon.
