I think it's a little sad that BU seem to have stopped releasing new stuff alltogether. Of course I'd rather see these HD upgrades than nothing at all, but still. Wake me up when they announce High Crime for BD please.

I agree. I really wish they would either release something new, or at least upgrade something which doesn't have as high a profile on legit DVD, sort of what they did with The Grand Duel. It was nice to have a solid release of public domain butcher shop title.

I saw on another forum that the mystery title is Michele Soavi's Stagefright.

That's interesting, wasn't a small British label looking to release Stagefright on Blu last year? But it was been held up the lack of a HD master?

Yes, Exposure Cinema. Someone has posted this on blu-ray.com forums:

"I got a message a few days ago regarding this release;

Thank you for your email and interest.

I’m pleased to say that we’re putting the finishing touches to the release with a view to making it available very soon.

Here’s a shot from our new interview with Barbara Cupisti (Alicia) to keep you going until then!

Best wishes

Zuno"

Hell of the Living Dead and Rats Double Blu feature coming August 26th.
With both films on one disc isn't that going to possibly compromise the transfers?

Nah, there's loads of room on Blu Ray discs.

I really wish more labels would take the chances Camera Obscura, Grindhouse and, to an extent, Raro are taking and release films new to DVD/BD, rather than simply re-releasing their back catalog on Blu-Ray. Just speaking for me personally, but I've never been one to spend the $$ simply for an AV upgrade to a film I enjoy just fine on DVD or even VHS. (Synapse's Demons, for example).

I mean, it's cool and all, but I'm still totally fine owning my OG BU DVDs of Rats, Hell of the Living Dead, Companeros, etc...I don't feel that I really need them on Blu. I'd much rather have something new, something formerly OOP or something formerly cut on home video.

I feel the same way. Basically I only buy BDs of titles I don't already have.

Same here unless it's an all time favourite like THEATRE OF BLOOD for example.
