So what's the opinions on the grabs? I'm swaying towards the NEW transfer mainly for the added detail, though I can see some folks preferring the darker Mondo Macabro version...

When I scrolled through them from the top down I preferred the MM grabs. However, going from bottom to the top I thought the NEW looked better.

Funny how things like that work out.

That's a hard one, some of the darker shots look better on some of the grabs and vice versa imo.

I didn't do a comparison to the MM disc for the simply reason that I've never seen it. Judging by the screenshot, I'm leaning in favor of the NEW disc. The darker look of the MM disc may be more approapriate in certain scenes but the NEW disc is clearly superior in picture number 3 for example. It's a tough choice overall, though.

I like the darker MM grabs myself.  I bought that disc when it was released in 2004.

agreed, i think pic 3 is the only pic that does look better though.

I haven't got the film so when i get round to getting it i will get whatever one is cheaper as it's not obvious what one is truly better.

It's hard to decide for certain but the grab that made my mind up is this one, as mentioned before.

The 'see through' ghostly effect is so much better in the NEW transfer.

Thanks for the screens, I'm happy with my MM disc. I think the NEW one looks too bright.
