Thanks for the screens, I'm happy with my MM disc. I think the NEW one looks too bright.

Likewise. The MM print might have less definition in some scenes but it has bags more atmosphere, which is more important IMO.

I've seen the MM disc for as little as $10.00. I picked up a copy a couple years ago at Best Buy for $13.00. What's the special features on the NEW release? The MM has deleted and alternate scenes and a good sized stills and poster gallery. Pierre Brice, from the WINNETOU films is in this, too.

I just received the Neo Publishing DVD in the mail and didn't know much about it or the movie in general. I also didn't know the picture quality was pretty crappy (the shifting of colours/brightness is something i really hate in movies), for instance. Not that it's too bad to look at, but I expected better.

Looks promising otherwise, though (really loved the first shots of the fields and the water) and will probably watch it tonight.

Got it from amazon.fr marketplace, by the way. EUR 9,10 incl. shipping. I will see if it was worth it.  :-X

The new French disc looks way too bright and the colours appear to rather wishy-washy. Better definition though…

Watched it earlier. The outside shots were indeed very nice and gloomy but there were far too few of them and nothing really went on there anyway. Almost everything took place inside, mostly in the mill, and that just looked like a typical (and boring) gothic horror set. Didn't care much for the story either, but I am also not a fan of this type of movies.

I have both MM and the European Hardbox DVD and I'm still not happy.

We need some loving care given to this title on BD.

I bet this would look fantastic on Blu if taken from the negative…
