Does anyone know if the French, Italian, Spanish, or German DVD releases of Chabrol's MERCI POUR LE CHOCOLAT are anamorphic 1.66:1? The US DVD is a bad PAL-NTSC conversion with burned in subs but its the correct aspect ratio though 4:3. The UK Artificial Eye disc is cropped to 1.78:1 and has ugly burned in subs. Chabrol's 1.66 framing is very precise.
