Latarnia Fantastique International
« on: 18 Dec 2010 - 12:28 »

Cyberschizoid has the first look at this new magazine from Mirek over at Latarnia...

http://www.cyberschizoid.com/2010/12/exclusive-first-look-latarnia.html

Looks great!

Ordering info:

USA: Cost of issue is $7.50, plus $2 first class shipping/handling and bagging for a total of $9.50.

Canada: Add .50, for a total of $10.

Foreign: $11.50 total.

If you want your magazine boarded, please add $2, but that doesn't guarantee that postal delivery will not find a way to bend it.

Note: Once stock starts getting depleted, cost per issue will probably go up.

This does look good.Really nice to see a new publication devoted to the Eurohorror genre especially one in English.I'll definitely be ordering my copy very soon, can't wait to check out that piece on THE TORTURE CHAMBER OF DR.SADISM.

Isn't it! And Mirek has gone on record saying the intention is to only include articles on things that haven't been covered before. So it will always be an interesting read for the Euro horror fan.

Think I will be getting this too.  I did subscribe to Mirek's short lived (one issue) Krimi Corner newsletter so might see if I can get my money back from that and put it towards this.

Yep, mine arrived yesterday. Haven't had chance to read it yet but did have a quick skim and it looks really good.

Did you pay the extra for the boarding or did you take the risk?

Took the risk and it arrived unscathed.

Received mine as well (I had it boarded).
Arrived in perfect condition.
Imho this should be approached a bit differently than other film magazines.
It's also the first film magazine I've read where all content was of interest to me.

I commented this on the Latarnia website:

"Finally found some free time,so I settled back in my comfy chair and lit the candelabra.  :D

This is unlike any other film magazine I've ever seen.

I really felt compelled to relax and enjoy a nice read...it was not unlike sampling an old and excellent wine.

No need to rush through...just slowly enjoy...

I like it and am curious about the next issue."
