And "La Banda Vallanzasca" sounds promising to me, I have to see it! Is there a version with english dubbing or subs?
I don't think it ever had an English dub and haven't come across any subs for it yet, still worth checking out in it's original Italian language version though as there's a really nice lbx version available from the FX tv broadcast.

I was just thinking about this the other day before I saw this thread. I was wondering if maybe some of my favorites have slightly changed order over the years. Id say my favorites are:

Colpo Rovente/Syndicate
Violent Rome
Blazing Magnums
Big Guns
Confessions Of A Police Capt.
Violent Naples
The Cynic, The Rat, And The Fist
Blood And Diamonds
The Big Racket
Mean Frank & Crazy Tony

My TRUE faves probably Rulers of the City and Heroin Busters, followed by The Big Racket (never #1 for me but also never too far from the top of the list). That's without wanting to think of something less obvious and cooler sounding.  :'(

The Boss
Manhunt In The City
Milan Caliber 9
High Crime
Street Law
Almost Human
The Tough Ones
From Corleone To Brooklyn
The Cynic The Rat And The Fist
Highway Racer
The Narc
.44 Specialist
Emergency Squad
Cry Of The Prostitute
A Man On His Knees
The Climber
Savage Three
Blue Eyed Bandit (more of a heist film, but still...)
Contraband

...ect, ect. really, the genre has a pretty high success rate and it would take less time to name the ones i don't like

I'm new here as well as to the whole Eurocrime genre.  However I will list the movies I've seen and LOVED, in order.

01. Blazing Magnum
02. Tecnica Di Un Omicidio aka Hired Killer
03. The Climber
04. Assassination
05. Colt 38 Special Squad
06. The .44 Specialist

I know that it must be a sin, but I've never seen any Merli films.  Also if there are any recommendations along the lines of Blazing Magnum, I'm all ears.

Any of the releases from Italian label Raro are well worth checking out including the fantastic Mario Merola collection, the majority have lovely looking transfers and include English options.Best of all you can buy most now for under €10 and support this great label so we can see more of the same from them in future.

I picked up Live Like a Cop Die Like a Man, haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet though.  Anyone with more recommendations would be appreciated.

ROME ARMED TO THE TEETH (Merli!) is a good one, also you might like the early Tomas Milian 'Nico Giraldi' films - COP IN BLUE JEANS, HIT SQUAD, SWINDLE etc

How about the rest of Alberto De Martinos movies?  Are they like Blazing Magnum?

Not too sure as I've not seen all his crime flicks. Apart from BLAZING MAGNUM out of the ones I have seen THE COUNSELLOR is pretty decent and THE MAN WITH THE ICY EYES is just average.

CRIME BOSS and BANDITS IN ROME I've yet to see.

BLAZING MAGNUM is the best imo closely followed by THE COUNSELLOR, CRIME BOSS isn't too bad, i didn't like THE MAN WITH THE ICY EYES that much and i'm yet to see BANDITS IN ROME.

BANDITS IN ROME (Roma come Chicago) is ok,has some good action sequences but feels a bit dated and was obviously made to cash in on the success of Lizzani's classic.

A friend of mine gave me a copy of THE COUNSELLOR, so imma be able to check it out.::)   Anyone know where I can find  a copy of BANDITS IN ROME (Roma come Chicago)?  I love those late 60s movies. I looked on Trash Palace and The Drive In Connection, they didn't have it.  Unless I just overlooked it.  Thanks guys, for all of your input, now I have a list of movies to check out.  I got to see some Merli.

I just ordered from The Drive In Connection.

Knell The Bloody Avenger:  Eastman and Palance!!!
Every Man Is My Enemy:  Since I LOVED Tecnica Di Un Omicidio aka Hired Killer.

What do you guys think of these.  Sorry if I'm coming off as a little annoying, it's just that I recently discoverd thid genre of movie, and I've fallen in love.
