... and my own favourite in the genre so far is without doubt Damiani's Confessions of a Police Captain ... Bloody brilliant. Followed by Di Leo's classic 'trilogy'.

KILLER VS KILLERS
Yikes all good movies on your list in my opinion except for the above. Damn I had a time liking that one after seeing Di Leo's other splendid entries in the genre. Too low-budget and just plain boring for me.
I'd still say it's an enjoyable enough film, not as good as Di Leo's classics granted but it's ok for a late entry.

If you take it for what it is then it's loads of fun - if you go in expecting another MILANO CALIBRO 9 then you're going to be disappointed.

Oh yes probably. Still never going to make my favourite Italian crime list. Too many better movies out there for that ever to happen :)

I am an unrepentant Henry Silva fan---so, that is why I ranked KILLER VS. KILLERS.  :D

I've not yet seen MILANO CALIBRO 9, by the way.
Probably need to remedy that.

Again, like I said in my initial post, I haven't seen all that many of the Crime films.

You don't need to justify it; quite a few of us here are fans of this film. Good, mindless entertainment that doesn't give a fuck.

Killer vs Killers - Thread

When the old forum was running I think I was the only one, apart from Vigilanteforce, who'd actually watched it and I encouraged everyone else to remedy that situation.

Probably the only good thing I've ever done with my life.

Oh you should certainly do that Chris. I guarantee you that it will blow "Killers.." right out of your list  ;D

 Here is my list
1 Brothers till we die (Lenzi not a great director but its all in focus Tomas Milian is great as the hunchback )
2 Violent Rome (good kick in the balls to L.Rossi.)
3 Free hand for a tough cop ( good macho stuff by Maurizio Merli)
4 Cynic the rat and the fist (slimy John Saxon)
5 Violent City ( good imitation of Point Blank by Sollima)
6 Revolver (great Morricone score) Olly Reed going mental
7 Violent Naples (although Ive only seen the Uk version)
8 Once upon atime in America
9 Naples Connection ( Typical Fulci OTT violence)
10 Weapons of Death ( grimy Mario Caiano flick )

Top 5...
1. Bandits of Milan (Banditi a Milano)
2. Almost Human (Milano odia: la polizia non può sparare)
3. Milano Calibro 9
4. Man Hunt (La mala ordina)
5. Anna, a particular pleasure (Anna, quel particolare piacere)
With a special shout out to Syndicate Sadists (Il giustiziere sfida la città) - silly, but fun.
