A familiar face from Lenzi's SPASMO- you just don't forget faces like that

Anybody else notice that one the characters in this film was a Tony Anthony fan? He spends the whole movie flipping through channels, on his television, until he finds a "Stranger" movie being broadcast.

That was Guido Alberti, an excellent old actor who was also in SPASMO! He must have been a Lenzi favorite as he is in almost every film Lenzi made during the 70s! I like that guy very much- he always makes me smile every time he is on screen!

Some memorable films he was in (at least the ones that come to mind at this moment): TONY ARZENTA, BLOODY HANDS OF THE LAW, VIOLENT NAPLES, CYNIC, THE RAT AND THE FIST, etc

And the wonderful and very psychedelic QUEENS OF EVIL  by Tonino Cervi,he showed up in this near the end where he has a chat with Ray Lovelock.
A highly recommended movie for those who haven't seen it

Scandanavian label AWE are releasing Contraband very soon,it comes with a 4 page booklet and a documentary on the film itself.I might be persuaded to double-dip if that documentary is good,whilst the BU dvd is great it's also barebones with only the trailer for company so an upgrade would be nice.

Don't know the contents, but the documentary is called TEMPUS FUGIT and runs 26 minutes.

Also the sound on the BU disc just doesn't sound right in places,almost like a warped record esp. some of the music.

Funnily enough I don't own the BU release of this so as soon as I hear some feedback on the image and audio quality of this new release I'll more than likely buy it.

Yet another release of Contraband/The Smuggler without the Italian dub... I like the movie as it is but I feel it would be a bit stronger in its original langauge.
