Starring
Stacey Keach, David Hemmings, Edward Fox, Stephen Boyd, Carol White and Freddie Starr!
Keach plays the role of Jim Naboth, a drunken washed up ex-policeman who is now a private eye, with the help of ex-criminal (well, I say ex but he still shoplifts!) Teddy played by scouse comic Freddie Starr.
Edward Fox's wife (who happens to be Naboth's ex-wife) and daughter are kidnapped, the ransom is a million pounds but the only way to get it is for Fox to rob his own company.
Irishman Stephen Boyd is the head honcho villain and gives a great performance as the psychopathic Vic in what was to be his last screen role.
David Hemmings and Alan Ford (who most people will know as Bricktop from SNATCH) are two of Boyd's underlings.
I highly recommend this film, it is definitely worth a look and has some great London locations.
One point while discussing the getaway Hemmings is explaining the route and mentions the Robin Hood roundabout by the Kingston by-pass (a couple of miles down the road from where I grew up) but alas you don't see it.
This definitely needs a DVD release asap.
