I think it's a credit to the movie, I still love it so much on the horrible print.

... can't wait for the mgm release.

When is this?

The TCM print was 105 minutes in English with a 2.35:1 presentation, but with too much compression.  A DVD release would be great.

No problem, I saw the lion logo at the end of the film, ...and was hopin' against hope that you knew about a street date, not just hopin' too.

Hopin' is free.  :-\

The print TCM ran the other night looked even sharper and crisper than its last airing several years ago. Perhaps that bodes well for an eventual dvd release. Since they finally got around to NAVAJO JOE, I`d think it`s not out of the question.

My favorite of the many funny lines in the film:

"He`s one of my employees...he tells me what to do."

Well MGM seem to release one Spaghetti Western a year, so lets hope this makes it in 2009!

Hi everybody! I've been reading this forum for quite a while, but I have waited to write something till I can contribute anything useful. ;D Well then, here it is:
Koch has recently announced that they will release "The Mercenary" in spring 2009.
Ain't that great news?  ::)

apparently, they're preparing a proper standalone release for this one rather that putting it out as part of their spaghetti western series.

Koch Media will release 'Il merecenario' in January 2010. It won't be part of Italo-Western Collection.
