Fun Pirate adventure starring Terence Hill as Blackie the pirate and directed by Lorenzo Gicca Palli under the guise of Vincent Thomas.

I've had the Dutch dvd a little while and have only now gotten around to seeing it, Even though Bud Spencer is featured prominantly on the cover his role is quite small but important to the storyline as his character Skull.

Eurocult regulars Salvatore Borgese and Alan Collins (Luciano Pigozzi) have roles as some of the pirate crew.

Edmund Purdom plays the main villain (if you can call him that).

Budget restrictions show as much of the at sea battles etc. is culled from other various pirate movies.

The Dutch dvd on the DFW label is anomorphic and presented in 2.35:1, the print is quite crisp but the quality changes where "borrowed" footage has been used.

Also, during some of the film there is the same music score i heard in an Italian war film but i can't for the life of me think what it was.

Overall and enjoyable movie but you have to take it for what it is.
