Could someone tell me how the quality of this set fairs?  Was there something wrong with the audio on The Last Shark?

Thanks  :'(

I have it, but haven't watched it yet. What exactly is supposed to be the problem with it?

I thought that I read on this forum,  some time back, someone mentioning the quality of one of the tracks either the Italian or English being irritating.  Just wanted to see if I was remembering correctly, to influence a purchase I suppose.

If you're going to include Paul in that statement, as well as myself, then I'd imagine it's probably in the thousands.

In fairness, I only received it a few days ago. You can shout at me in a few months if I haven't watched it by then.

There is indeed something wrong with the audio on the LAST SHARK disc. Video quality is pretty good but the audio is just hard to listen to. I was watching the disc yesterday on a friend's computer and I had to turn up the volume to the max and we still couldn't hear shit. Initially we blamed his audio setting for that but changed mind when we tried a few other DVD's that sounded loud and clear at half volume.

That is sad to report. I am not one of those guys who like to bitch about the flaws of DVD releases. You won't see me talking about stuff such as bit ratio, edge enhancement, color saturation like some of those tech freaks on other forums do. If something looks good enough to my eyes, that's it. I was really looking forward to this release as it is one of my all time favorite films but the audio is really fucked up. I was thinking of getting rid of my Japanese tape but now I am keeping it as it sounds way better than the Swedish DVD.

I'd second that. I watched THE LAST SHARK the other day and the English audio is really rotten. Great picture though.
