Anyone got the Italian language dvd of this on Surf which stars Al Cliver?Very tempted to get this after enjoying Bianchi's 'Napoli... i 5 della squadra speciale' which he made straight after Provincia,unfortunately none of the 5 crime films he made were ever dubbed into English.

Just watched some of this and noticed it uses Cipriani's score for Rabid Dogs along with some of the music from La Polizia ringrazia,from what i've seen so far this looks like it might be quite entertaining.

Director Mario Bianchi plays the cop Inspector Aldo Grandi in DAY OF VIOLENCE(Operazione Kappa: sparate a vista) though he isn't credited,he also shows up in this as well as his other crime films.

Just been watching the trailer for this on the Surf DVD (cheers Martin!) and the Cipriani score from Rabid Dogs was the first thing I noticed. Looks quite decent from the trailer. Lino Caruana looks a bit like quite Oriental in this, never noticed that before, almost like when a European actor plays Fu Man Chu...



Good picture quality on the DVD though, might make my way through this in bits over the course of next week.

Was watching the beautiful Italian dvd of POLIZIOTTI VIOLENTI(Crimebusters) last night and noticed Caruna in a blink and you'll miss him scene where he's attempting to rape Silvia Dionisio along with another henchman,a shame he only did 3 crime movies as i think he'd have been great as a villain.

I was sifting through this wonderful book and found this film listed in the 1977 section. How big was Harrison's role? Here is an anecdote from him about the picture...

"I saw part of this film and it was very bad. Mario is a capable director, but needed to be stronger. I really didn't get to know Al Cliver very well. He was a nice looking fellow who seemed to have good manners".

This one needs more praise, for it is surely among the TOP 5 of the cheapest of cheap police flicks! And let us not forget about its sleazy qualities! (oh yeah, lots of sleaze here )
The lovely cast incl. Lino Caruana, Al Cliver (best actor in this one!) and Richard Harrison does not disappoint here at all!
Btw. Caruana also stars in Carlo Croccolo's  Spaghetti " Black Killer" as one of the 2 main villains... !

If I am not mistaken he has a small appearance in Giuseppe Vari's "Ritornano Quelli Della Calibro 38", too!
