There's supposed to be a Greek VHS release that is dubbed in English. Haven't seen it myself, though...

There are definitely English language versions floating around.  Not sure of the source, though.  Good film.

What about Banditi a Milano, which is pretty much a partner film to it.  I guess that has an English release somewhere?

No official releases yet but there's a couple of versions recorded off Italian TV that have had the English dub synced up to them - there's some screen shots at the link below.

as Lizzani's style also Svegliati e uccidi is based on a true story, the real life of Luciano Lutring

he's still alive and he had the grace from italian president of republic in 1977

maybe he will be guest in Appuntamento a Mano Armata 2009  ::)

  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

I've never seen this one, but i'd like to, Volonte always gives a solid performance.

Just found his website:

I think i was sent a dvdr which has a short interview with him, might be from MalaMilano or something similar.

I have made a composite of this from original Italian and English versions since the Italian version has several scenes not in the English version. I can trade a copy to anyone who has some similar crime or giallo I could use that they made.

It'd certainly be good to see a decent copy of this - I used to have the English language Greek vhs and it was full of splices throughout - as I recall most of the opening credits and part of the ending were missing. Kind of spoils your enjoyment when you're not sure if the end of the film will be there...
