COLT .38 SPECIAL SQUAD'S Tony Marsina stars as Rolf, mentally scarred after witnessing his mothers pimp inject her with a heroin overdose. Rolf falls foul of some nasty mercenary drug runner types and ends up getting the shit kicked out of him. Rolf gets his revenge on them by stealing their crate of drugs, pissing on the contents and then throwing it all out of a light aircraft. Mercenary types don't like that and so while Rolf's away they go round to his girlfriends house and take turns in raping her - there's about 6 of them and they're all ugly as hell - and then kill her. So Rolf gets his revenge (again) by hunting them down one by one, FIRST BLOOD style, in the woods.

That's pretty much it! It's badly acted, seems like it was dubbed by the same team who did LETHAL HUNTER, shot on location in what looks like North Africa and is chock full of some extremely bad taste set pieces. The police stick Rolf's hand in some shit so they can take his fingerprints and at one point the mercenary bad guys do target practice by throwing children up into the air and shooting them. Whilst laughing. In front of their mother's.

Not surprisingly the only comment left for this film on the IMDB is from Mr trashonline...

"I am sure it is hated by most but I believe it will definitely satisfy lovers of sleaze" :-\

Absolutely! This was a first class example and it will be screened at all my friends drunken movie nights from now on.

I'd love to get a scan of that Greek tape!

New post over at Italian Film Review. Watched via Video Asia's Mercs set under the title The Last Mercenary

Enjoyably sleazy trash, probably one of the dirtiest examples of Macaroni Combat/Mercenary films. Has anyone seen any of Siciliano's other filth? I know he started in westerns and war, but it seems as if he mainly dabbled in porn around this point of Rolf.

I really loved the misanthropic, mean-spirited tone of this one. Antonio Marsina has a great look. I actually used a still from this movie as the basis of my record cover -

I'm working my way through Mario Siciliano's filmography and can say that THE SEVEN RED BERETS also has that same mean streak although it doesn't go as far with it as ROLF does. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

I tracked down the Chris J. King LP which has the wonderful theme song to this film. Co-written by Fabio Frizzi.
