« on: 23 Jun 2009 - 09:12 »

Took myself off to the library yesterday and spent a couple of hours looking at old copies of the local newspaper via the microfilm versions they have stored away. I randomly jumped in and started at week commencing February 22nd 1976, here's a few films that were showing at the cinemas in my area (NW Lancashire)...

Facinating stuff!

BLOODY HANDS OF THE LAW :)

Even if these films were made today most of 'em wouldn't get the big screen treatment.

It's interesting isn't it. Pretty much every week the cinemas changed all the films they were showing and I'd say about 50% of them were exploitation of some kind, the choice was pretty good if you were a regular cinema goer. I'll stick some more up when I get chance. I'll also pop back to the library and look up some more.

I think what I'll do next time I go to the library is use the projectionists logs that I posted scans of in THIS THREAD to help me locate specific films without me having to trawl through the microfilms at random.
