Just watched this one and enjoyed it quite a bit despite it being rather slow. I'm in two minds about Lallo Gori's score for this, it's electronic stuff - think Wendy Carlos and your almost there - maybe if I had it on CD it'd help me decide as during most of the film it's quite low in the mix and hard to make out.

Poster art is pretty nifty for this one too...

Copy I watched has a video generated title card saying TERRORISM but seeing as this was an English dubbed print with English credits I wonder if this has another English language title that is actually on the print i.e under the video generated one?

I've got a copy of the Greek vhs on Video Acropolis as ULTIMATE SHOT which doesn't look too bad.

I have a U.S. release, i think it's on the Mogul label but i'm pretty sure it's fullscreen, any idea what if the Greek one is widescreen or not Stephen?

I think that's the version I watched, which is fullscreen. The crappy video generated title looks just like something you'd see on a US release.

It's fullscreen but i think that's the way it was filmed as there isn't any picture info missing, runtime is 1h 22m and that includes the masturbation scene with Andrea Franchetti.

Yeah, he's in a public toilet cubicle. Porno mag propped up infront of him, machine gun in one hand and whacking off with the other.  :-\

well I think that if this movie was out in 1980 or later it could be considered in a way

but it was out in 1977 and so I have to consider it in all another way

i think that his director guess or knew a lot about terrorism in italy, his organization, his strategy, also characters of his men... all was discovered only years later, and it appears very strange

italian tape is failed, it's a telecinema from a super8 but it's mounted in a wrong way

Agreed, there's some real similarities between the film and what happened with the Brigado Rosso,Aldo Moro etc a year or so later.

Maybe the terrorists saw the film and it inspired them?

I think I may have made you that copy that you're discussing, Jonny. If so, its source is an '80s pre-record on the Mogul label.
