I'd love to, yes. How do I go about it?

You'd have to have the film on a DVD or DVD-R and take the caps via your computer's DVD playing software.

Printscreen button probably will only get you a black image. Your DVD playing software should have a screen cap feature that will grab the image at full res.

Give me a shout if you're still stuck.

Install the VLC freeware player on your machine, all OSs are supported
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
and then press together shift & S keys while playing the movie so the software will create screens inside your default images folder.

Argento did like his wine. Quaffed a bottle and a half of vino and then got stroppy. I did ask him about the Blu-Ray of The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and he was extremely dismissive. "Too artificial," he said. When he told me that Giallo was his favourite movie, I simply could not keep quiet and go with what he was saying. Hence wine over me!

Nice one!

Kind of sad as well though - if Dario Argento thinks Giallo is his best film so far then he really has hit one fuck of a low point in his life.

Great news about Mania - if you can put up screenshots I'll be eating humble pie because I was adamant on another forum that a copy (on dvdr) probably didn't exist.

Please keep us posted.

Just been testing the VLC (I had it) on La Merditude des Choses, for example, and the images are not in my default folder. Shall keep looking.

Run VLC, go to Tools menu, choose Preferences

There you can set the path of the directory where the screens will be saved. You'd better choose png as a file format since it has no compression on the quality of pictures.
Don't forget to save your preferences finally. Hope it helps.  :D

Hi Jay...why not send me a copy of 'Mania' and I can do the screenshots for you?  Problem solved! :-*

Lovely, though the anticipation of seeing the MANIA caps is quite something!  :-*

Of course! I was lucky to be invited to Orvieto at a festival where I met a few Italian distributors with their own collection. This is where Argento threw a glass of vino over me when I said at the table that I thought Giallo was a comedy. He then left.

Hopwfully it's here tomorrow. Can't wait to see in front of the plasma with a chiller beer or two.

Argento really did this...wow, what an asshole!!! >:(

Awesome news with the DVD btw...sounds too good to be true though! ;)
