I think the direct to consumer route is definitely a better way to go for these niche labels.
I hope they get sold through Diabolik too, Shipping gets really dear in the Code Red store compared to what it actually costs. (In steps Bruno with to justify it with "Jiffy bags and travelling to the post office costs" etc ;D )

Same here. $11 shipping for one title. Still, I always find Bill's shipping times fast.

That's not so bad, it's when you get multiples.

I was thinking of TT rather than CR when I said that - Bill's shipping is very dear compared to other places.

that's a great news!  ::)

Never saw Girly, is it worth the blind buy for exploitation lovers ?

GIRLY is exploitation, but light on the usual exploitation elements, it a wicked dark comedy more than anything.

Good news on the Scorpion front.  The short lived Cartel web store is history, it was not a good route for distribution.  All previously released titles will be available through Diabolik, titles are trickling back to Walter from various retailers and they will all eventually go to Diabolik, which will be the only source for previously issued titles, like GIRLY.

All new titles, like CANDLE FOR THE DEVIL& SPASMO, will be handled by Scorpion's new exclusive distributor.  No name yet, but the ink seems to be drying on the contracts and as soon as an announcement can be made, it will.
This new distributor will also ship internationally, which should help some people get a hold of their product.  :P

Scorpion have just announced Screen Archives ( home of Twilight Time ) will handle their upcoming limited BD's, pre orders for the first 2 titles ( CANDLE FOR THE DEVIL & STRIPPED TO KILL go live on March 2, shipping on the 17th ).  The dvd of CANDLE is already at Diabolik ( feb 24th is the official street date ) & an early review of the dvd is here & it looks quite nice.

Scorpion is also getting ready to ship a pile of their older limited BD's to Diabolik shortly.

Walt should have sorted Candle out ages ago. I may well just wait for the upcoming Odeon UK release now but would have been a surefire buy any time over the last few months when originally planned.

Frustrating delay for sure but you can't fault them for getting their new distribution straightened out.  Also Scorpion did color correction on the source which won't be part of the Odeon ( they might do their own though).  I am supporting Scorpion to start but will be keeping on eye on the Odeon release in case they better it.

I'll keep an eye on the sales and if it's going quick then I may have to grab the Scorpion disc. Odeon stuff rarely gets reviewed and I do want the best version.

Scorpion is pushing their Blu of DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE back til August as Walter discovered the OCN contains a longer cut of the film ( 91 Vs familiar 82 min ).  All scenes expand  character and add backstory, all nasty bits made the short cut.

This will be a limited release and his rights expire in December.
