I went on Saturday and really enjoyed the film. I thinking the French dubbing was amusing as there were a lot of laughs throughout., not being a Franco-phone (get my pun there!?), i didn't really spot the amusement with the dubbing. I guess it was in an Argento's Cardplayer style way for us Anglophones.
Franco introduced the film and spoke a bit about Fulci. I walked passed him on the way to my seat and thought i'll get him to sign my copy of the Fifth Cord, but decided not to bother him until the signing session....BIG MISTAKE! In fact, when the film finished everyone left and I didn't know what was going on. After doing some probing, I found out that Franco was there for 3 films on Saturday (Hitch Hike etc) and had already done a signing session in the afternoon!!! He had already left when Massacre Time had finished.
I was gutted!!! Really gutted!!
Luckily I did take some pics of him on the stage. I need to get a good internet connection to upload them.
Well, i've learned my lesson: pay attention to festival programmes (but then again, it wasn't obvious on their website) and pounce on the celeb when you can!
