Just wanted to tell you that the only (as far as I know) English-friendly DVD of this film (not to be confused with Shock Treatment / Traitement de Choc) is included in the Lionsgate Catherine Deneuve Collection. Anyone seen it?

It's very good, Magnus.

The film is based on La position du tireur couché, a crime novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette about a hit man who wants to get out of the business.

City Lights Books has published an English translation of the novel as The Prone Gunman.

They've also published and English translation of another novel as Three to Kill.

They're both very good and can usually be had quite cheaply at amazon.com and other sites.
