Inquisición / Inquisition (Paul Naschy, 1976)
« on: 26 Mar 2010 - 07:56 »

Watched this one for the first time a couple of nights ago via the DVD from Vellavision - Fan dubbed into English by forum member Mark GW.

The Vellavision disc looks simply stunning and I'd reccommend anyone to pick it up then seek out the Englsih fan made subtitles or dubtrack that are readily available now.

Can't take any screenshots as I'm not at home but Mirek put some up over at his forum if you want to check them out...

As for the film, what a treat! Possibly my favorite Paul naschy film so far. Admittedly I haven't seen that many and previously VENGEANCE OF THE ZOMBIES took top spot.

Click through to see Mireks' screenshots and you'll get the gist of why I enjoyed this one so much!  :D

Yep, these new Naschy remasters are the shit.  I have the fansubbed version of this and it's excellent.  I'd also recommend EL CAMINANTE (aka 'The Traveller'), another Naschy flick from the same period that has also been fansubbed and looks as good.

I love this film.  I have a couple of different releases for it- I got a really good, english copy from Euro Trash Cinema.  The picture on it is excellent.

I don't have the Vellavision edition (Would like to have it. I could never find the goddamn thing) but I did purchase a recent a copy of the film from a Spanish company that was put out maybe 2 years ago or so.  The print has an excellent picture like those screencaps and is in Spanish.  The film is a must for Daniela Giordano fans and I also think it's one of Naschys more enjoyable films.  Then again maybe I'm biased as I generally like similar films such as Mark of the Devil & Witchfinder General.

Inquisition and El Caminante are two of my favorite Naschys, especially the latter. Brilliant stuff!

I'm a huge fan of these type of films too.
Paul (Mr Naschy) did a great job directing this film.

I'm hoping someone will give Mark Of The Devil II some love.
