They should definitely let people know in advance in order for them to make their choice. As I said, it doesn't bother me but I can totally see your point-of-view and there should definitely be a lot more transparancy prior to an even likes this.
It certainly should be made crystal clear as to how the film is being shown. Foolishly I presumed that because MANCHESTER MORGUE was being shown in the museum's largest screen it would have been 35mm, I can't recall a film being shown digitally in that screen in all the years I've been attending.
Friday morning I was looking at the listings on the site and noticed that print sources had been added to the film listings...

Courtesy of Optimum Releasing.This set bells ringing and prompted me to email. It's obvious to me that they are afraid of saying on the site that it's from a DVD and skirt over this by just saying who the distributor is. Maybe hoping that no one will notice?
