I was thinking they would be to be honest, even though they released great titles in great quality... 

Weren't they a dvd company started by some big name rightsholder to get their remastered  titles out btw?

I think Cinekult wasn't exactly a DVD company, but only a "brand" owned by Cecchi Gori Home Video.

Vizzini, are you by any chance Saimo from the Blu-Ray.com forums (I ask this because of the blog from your signature)?
If you are, funny to see you at another forum. 
I asked you for a few recommendations a few days ago, which you were kind enough to provide.

Anyway, does anyone have a full list of their releases, including those who were also available on BD (I have a couple of BD from them, including Dellamorte Dellamore and Shadow)?
Can anyone let me know which ones are English-friendly, and from those that aren't, which ones are must buys (either because of the high-quality of the transfers and/or film, or significant or rare extras such as deleted scenes, like Terza ipotesi su un caso di perfetta strategia criminale)?

I'm going to try to pick up a few releases I'm missing.

It's sad to see another genre label/sublabel go away...

Sad but inevitable, the Italian market for these must be quite small yet if they provided English subtitles they would have increased their sales. I've recently picked up all the titles I wanted and, as far as I am aware, none of their releases that I own are English friendly. It's thanks to hard work of subbers like DjangoLi and fan DVD producers like Dario Argento that we are able to access these in English.

Very sad & disappointing news. I think if they'd made the effort to include English options, then they would still be in business.


@ Funktion - As Demented_UK said, none of their releases are English friendly to my knowledge (at least none of the ones that I have are) - but all releases of interest have been custom fan dubbed or subbed.

@Luca Canali - They have a small number of releases that are English friendly (they include an English audio track), I own a few of them myself (Dellamorte Dellamore, Venere in pelliccia / Le malizie di Venere, Shadow, ...).

Of course, with English subtitles they would have gained a much wider audience, but Italian labels often work on such a tiny budget that they simply can't afford that. Currently Italian market is such depressing and small, you can't even think big...

If their releases were English friendly from the start there's every chance they would still be around now. Still, let's be grateful for what they gave us - and they did unearth some beautiful prints of some very obscure films.

It's by Mustang Entertainment, a brand new label operating in home video and using the CG Home Video salesmen's network, hence the dvd cover
