Cry of a Prostitute announced on blu.

Again, scary. Wasn't the CO release shelved because of elements not being up to snuff?

"Code Red's transfer for LAST SURVIVOR, ALMOST HUMAN, & CRY OF THE PROSTITUTE will be taken directly from the original, uncensored, Italian negative."

Not sure yet whether it's 2K scans or just telecines.

Being done by the Italian licensor I'm assuming. I have a feeling if they're just HD telecines then their primary intent could be for HD broadcast.

i've never bought a CR release before, and only ever seen bits of conversations about the label, so although i know diabolikdvd is the place for me to go (I'm in the UK) i'm hesitant about how it will all work out when it comes to the likely wait until release ('almost human' first for me), pricing, difficulty in quantity made and limitations of quality for such a very small label.

Well, I'm UK based aswell, and Diabolik is quite good, usually takes exactly 1 week for my stuff to arrive, which beats US Amazon, Oldies.com, and many other International posting sites for me. The pricing comes to about 15 dollars for International shipping to the UK.

And another one getting a decent release.

Speaking of which, Family Honor turned up yesterday. Quality ranges from lots scratches and speckles, to almost clear. The film itself? I liked it, but its a slow burner type of revenge, as with the opening scene, it takes a good 45-50 minutes on to start up with the actual vengeance. Its very gritty though, so much so you could put it out front and use it as your drive  :'(. There's a great shootout towards the end, in which the protagonist tapes ammo to his chest, and keeps two shells in his mouth while firing sometimes  :).

Overall, seeing as this film has not been seen in so many years, and the quality is quite good, I enjoyed it. Just a shame there were no widescreen versions, but the 1:66:1 is good enough, considering its rarity.

Noob question. Is there a central place listing when these are released? And what is the best place to buy these from?
